Southern Arkansas University Women's Golf

Sanders began to lay the framework for a competitive and successful overall golf progam. On the women's side, Sanders helped guide Helle Leed to an at-large bid as an individal golfer at the 2016 NCAA Central Region Tournament. There, Leed was the top indivudal among the field. On the men's side, Sanders helped the Muleriders to their best team finish at the GAC Championships (5th-place) as they posted team scores under 300 in each round. Additionally that year, George Adams turned in the highest indivudal finish for a Mulerider at the GAC Championships as he finished tied for second-place. Sanders, a native of Pine Bluff, came to SAU with golf playing experience at the NCAA Division I and II levels as well as a brief stint professionally on the Adams Pro Tour. As a collegiate golfer, Sanders played at Arkansas Tech University and at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, lettering three years Tech and his final year at UAPB. During his time on the Adams Pro Tour in the summer of 2011, Sanders finished T-25th with a four-day total of 288 (E) at the El Paso Desert Open.   After his collegiate golfing days, Sanders served as an Assistant Golf Professional at the Greystone Country Club in Cabot, Ark. While at Greystone, Sanders assisted with tournament preparations, management of country club staff and scheduling events.   Following that, and most-recently, Sanders served as a caddie at the Alotian Golf Club, a prestigious private course located in Roland, Ark. While at Alotian, Sanders worked with members in all facets of the game including club selection, green reading, course management, and golf etiquette.   In addition to his golfing experience, Sanders has three years of experience in swing analysis as a B-8 apprentice in the PGA Management Program.   Sanders holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.
