Lambson spent 12 years as a professor of physical education at West Texas A&M University where he was also department chair and coached men and womens golf teams.  While in Texas he also found time to play on two USTA National Championship teams.  Coach L has extensive experience coaching a variety of sports and teaching students and athletes the fundamental principles of leadership and motor skill acquisition. His philosophy of coaching is centered on player development and respect while encouraging high expectations and goals.  Alma Mater:  Brigham Young University 1972, Doctorate 1987 Dr. Rick Lambson is in his first year as womens head coach after serving as interim coach during the 2015 season and 14 years on the SUU tennis staff.  In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he was also the conditioning coach and served for 10 years as the SUU Chair of the Physical Education and Human Performance Department.
