Clay Glasgow
Head Coach
Glasgow vs. Opponents (SMSU) Clay Glasgow enters his fifth season as head coach in 2026 after being named the sixth head coach in program history on Feb. 25, 2022. Glasgow has a record of 14-47-10 during his three seasons at SMSU, including a 13-38-7 record in NSIC play. He is in his 12th season overall as a collegiate head coach after eight seasons at Dakota Wesleyan University and begins the 2025 season with an overall record of 63-133-15. SMSU finished the 2024 season 2-14-2 overall and an 12th place finish in the NSIC with a 2-10-2 mark. Haley Mason was named All-NSIC second team and earned CSC Academic All-District, while Dare Kroeten, Rachel Hicks, Selena Prolic, and Brooke Wetterstrom all earned the accolade as well. SMSU finished the 2023 season 6-10-1 overall, 6-7-1 NSIC, and just missed qualifying for the NSIC tournament. SMSU recorded several big victories, including defeating NSIC regular season champion, St. Cloud State, 1-0, and earning a 3-1 victory to close the season over Augustana. The win was the first for SMSU over Augustana since the 2014 season. Haley Mason and Brooke Wetterstrom both earned All-NSIC second team honors. In his first season in 2022, Glasgow led SMSU to a 3-8-7 record overall and an 11th place finish in the NSIC with a 3-8-4 mark. Alex Lotts was named All-NSIC second team, while Emma Dahnert and Madi Foutz were both named CoSIDA Academic All-District. Glasgow came to SMSU after spending eight seasons (2014-21) as head women’s soccer coach at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, S.D., compiling a record of 49-86-5. During his last two seasons at DWU, the Tigers amassed back-to-back winning seasons and qualified for the Great Plains Athletic Conference Tournament both seasons. He coached a remarkable number of outstanding athletes including 11 NAIA All-American Scholar-Athletes and 19 All-GPAC selections, with a notable five All-GPAC first team honorees during his tenure. During his first season at DWU in 2014, the team was picked to finish last in the preseason polls, yet the program won 10 games and advanced to the GPAC Tournament semifinals. In the classroom, Glasgow’s program achieved five-straight National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Awards from 2014-18. Prior to DWU, Glasgow served as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Augustana University from 2007-13 helping assist in all facets for the program. While serving as an assistant at Augustana, Glasgow was also the head girls’ soccer coach at Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School for seven seasons with tremendous success. He led the program to a pair of South Dakota Class AA state championships in 2012 and 2013, while amassing a record of 66-22-9. Glasgow began his coaching career at Life University in Atlanta, where he worked as a camp coach in 2001-02 while playing soccer at Brewton Parker College. He then transferred to Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D., where he earned all-conference honors for the Lancers. Following his playing career, Glasgow was an assistant coach for one season at Southwest Community College (Ore.). Glasgow moved to Sioux Falls to play professionally for two seasons with the Sioux Falls Spitfire in the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League. He also worked as a youth coordinator with the Spitfire and has been a long-time head coach with the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club in Sioux Falls. Glasgow, a graduate of Mount Marty College with a degree in sports and fitness & nutrition, currently holds a U.S. Soccer Federation ‘B’ coaching license. Cesar Carrillo
Assistant Coach
Cesar Carrillo is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the SMSU soccer program in 2025. Carrillo, a native of Minneapolis, earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science at SMSU. He has 13 years of soccer playing and coaching experience, specifically in goalkeeping.

David Juarez
Assistant Coach
David Juarez is in his first season as an assistant coach at SMSU in 2025. Juarez comes to SMSU after spending the 2024 season as an assistant women's soccer coach at Carleton College. He brings nearly 15 years of coaching experience to the Mustang program. Carleton finished the 2024 season 14-2-7 overall, won the MIAC regular season championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. A total of five Carleton players were named all-conference first team last season. It was his second stint with Carleton as he spent the 2021 as an assistant coach. Following his first season at Carleton, Juarez was an assistant coach for two seasons (2022-23) at Michigan Tech University, helping lead the Huskies to the 2023 NCAA tournament. He has also served as both head coach and assistant coach at various club programs in Minnesota including the Salvo Soccer Club, Fusion Soccer Club, Shakopee Soccer Association and Minnesota Thunder Academy. He also worked as an assistant coach at Eden Prairie, Eagan, and Lakeville North high schools. Juarez earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education from Augsburg University in 2015.

Becky Wilkins
Assistant Coach
Becky Wilkins is in her first season as an assistant coach with the SMSU soccer program in 2025. She comes to SMSU after coaching one season at San Dieguito Academy High School, while also coaching in the Encinitas Express club program since 2024. Originally from Swindon, England, Wilkins played two seasons at Mount Marty University (S.D.) before closing her career spending two seasons at Webber International University (Fla.). Wilkins earned her bachelor’s degree from Webber International in sports performance, health and fitness in 2024. She is pursuing her master’s degree at SMSU.
