Bill Williams
Head Coach
Williams has been in charge of the St. Bonaventure mens and womens diving programs since 2013, and both teams have seen success under his watch. In 2015, Bonnies junior Alex Marra was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Diver of the Year after he finished first on the one meter board and was runner-up in the three meter dive at the A-10 Championship. He earned a first-place finish in the 1-meter and came in second on the 3-meter. In 2016, he finished second on both boards at the Conference Championships. He was also a two time NCAA Zone Qualifier with Williams as his coach. At the 2014 A-10 Championship, Marra finished in sixth in the one meter dive and eighth in the three meter dive. As the women's coach, current sophomore Brittany Hart earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the week on Nov. 15 and finished fifth on the 1-meter at A-10 Championships, which was highest finish for a St. Bonaventure female diver in last 10 years. Williams has had at least one diver make the finals at the Atlantic 10 Championship each year he's been the diving coach at St. Bonaventure. Well-respected in his profession, during the summers of 2015 and 2016, Williams has been invited to coach diving camps at the University of Texas and Indiana University where he's gotten to work along side Olympic coaches and divers. He has been able to work with divers on the National team and Olympic Trial participants. Prior to joining St. Bonaventure, Williams spent the 2012-13 season as the head coach for Northern Michigans womens diving program. He oversaw all training, practices, meets and recruiting efforts, and had a diver qualify for the Division II National Championship. Before to his time in the Upper Peninsula, Williams was the head diving coach for Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., from 2010-12 and had a diver named to the All-State Honorable Mention Team. Also during the summers from 2010-12, Williams served as an intern at Clarion Universitys Diving Camp where he coached divers on both the 1- and 3-meter boards. Williams has also previously been an assistant diving coach and assistant water polo coach for Wyoming Valley West High School in Plymouth, Pa. Williams graduated in just two-and-a-half years from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in May of 2010 with a degree in Sport Administration.

Sean McNamee
Head Coach
McNamee's impressive resume over 23 seasons as head men's swimming coach at St. Bonaventure University. He has guided the Bonnies to five Atlantic 10 championships, most recently in 2014, when St. Bonaventure defended its title. The Bonnies jumped out to an almost 100-point lead over UMass after the third day of the Championship and went on to the victory. In 2013, McNamee's team broke a string of six consecutive years of finishing as runners-up. McNamee has mentored two of the last three Atlantic 10 Performers of the Meet: Michael Pilyugin in 2014 and Vatslav Lets in 2013. The 2006 season was perhaps the most dramatic, thrilling season in St. Bonaventure's history. The Bonnies were able to win the Atlantic 10 Championship by a single-digit point margin with a win in the meet's final relay. The victory snapped the Bonnies' run of five straight years as A-10 runners-up -- a remarkable string of achievements in itself. Under McNamee's leadership, the Bonnies have finished third or higher at the A-10 Championship 21 out of 22 seasons. McNamee replaced his brother, Kevin, at St. Bonaventure in 1992. In his first season at Bona, his team captured the Atlantic 10 title, he earned A-10 Coach of the Year honors and qualified six Bonnies for the U.S. Senior Nationals. In 1997, McNamee's Bonnies surprised the field by finishing second at the Atlantic 10 Championships, after being picked to finish in the lower half in the preseason. McNamee's efforts earned him his second Coach of the Year award. The 1998-99 season brought McNamee his second A-10 title and his third Coach of the Year honor. The Bonnies' competitive success under McNamee is equaled by their consistent academic achievement. In 2004-05, three St. Bonaventure swimmers, Adrian Blaszczak, Patrick Doret and Seth Johnson, were named to the Atlantic 10's Academic All-Conference Team. Junior Michael Bogacki earned honorable mention Academic All-American honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. Bogacki qualified for the award by earning a 3.5 GPA or higher and posting a NCAA "B" cut time. The CSCAA has honored St. Bonaventure each of the past four years for the team's academic achievement. McNamee graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1986. He earned his master's degree at West Virginia University while working as an assistant swim coach. In 1990, he accepted his first head coaching position at SUNY Potsdam. During his two seasons at Potsdam, McNamee qualified several of his swimmers for the NCAA Division III Championships. McNamee resides in Olean, N.Y., with his wife Rosemary. They have three children -- Caitlyn, Liam and Shannon.
