Tyler Steving

Head Coach

Steving joined the Cardinals coaching staff in the fall of 2015. Steving is the Head Novice Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for men's and women's rowing. While attending Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Steving participated on the rowing team, earning honors such as Athlete of the Week and 2015 ECAC NIRC Champion. Steving was featured in Liberty League Boat of the Week three separate times: September 2012, October 2013, and May 2015. After earning a BA in Public Policy from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Coach Steving was a Teacher's Assistant at Mary Cariola Children's Center. Steving currently resides in his hometown, Pittsford, where he graduated high school from in 2011.

Tom Webb

Head Coach

Webb to be the first head coach of the mens and womens rowing programs in 2012.   Previously, Webb had served as the head coach of the SUNY Geneseo Crew Club, where he led the squad to a fifth-place showing at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta.  Prior to Geneseo, he served as the co-head coach for Skidmore Community Rowing in the fall of 2008.  During that time, the Rochester native also served as athletics intern with the Skidmore College crew team.   Webb also has experience working with Pittsford Crew, the home team of Fishers training location, the Pittsford Indoor Rowing Center.  During the 2009-10 season, he served as the mens and womens assistant coach and the following season took over as the mens head coach. Until the Fall of 2012, Webb worked as the men's co-head coach for the junior rowing program.   Webbs knowledge also spans beyond his coaching experience, as he was a member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison crew.  With the Division I University, Webb placed third at the EARC Sprints League Championship in 2003 and fifth at the IRA National Championship that same year.   Tom graduated from Brighton high school where he was a standout in both rowing and swimming.  As a rower, he was invited to attend the 2001 Junior National Team Selection Camp and placed fifth at the mens Junior Four with Cox at the US Junior National Team Trials.  A four-year member of the varsity swim team, he set Baron records in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard medley and the 100-yard backstroke.  He was also selected for the 2002 Section V New York State Championship Team.   A member of US Rowing, Tom resides in Rochester.
