Stephanie Palmeri
Head Coach
Palmeri arrives from Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) where she served as assistant mens and womens swimming coach since September 2013. Under Palmeris direction, the IUPUI womens swimming team finished with a 10-3 overall record in 2013-14 and an 8-3 record in 2014-15. In addition, academic standouts Adam Ferguson and Maranda Buha collected Academic All-Summit League honors, and Lexi Laird earned an NCAA National B cut standard time in the 100 backstroke during Palmeris time in Indianapolis. A former collegiate swimming star herself, Palmeri returned to her alma materC.W. Post, where she was named a CSCAA Academic All-American-Honorable Mention in 2009to serve as assistant mens and womens swimming coach from June 2010 to August 2013. In addition to her coaching duties, Palmeri also spent time as a Compliance Assistant in the athletics office. Rooster Award - 2008 Prior to Post, Palmeri assisted the swimming programs at St. Lawrence University from August 2009 to May 2010. In between her professional duties, Palmeri worked as a swim camp counselor from May 2011 to June of 2014 at IUPUI and at the University of Texas. Since 2002 she served as a swim instructor and lifeguard all over Long Island, including at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville and the Village of Saltaire Ocean Rescue on Fire Island. A 2009 graduate from C.W. Post with a B.S. in Childhood Education, Palmeri earned an M.S. in Sport Management from Adelphi University in December of 2011. She currently resides in Seaford, NY.
