Head Coach
Wells Head Women's Hockey Coach Chris Wells took over the reins of the St. Lawrence University women's hockey team for the 2008-09 season. In his opening campaign, Wells continued the program's tradition of winning, as he guided the team to the 2009 NCAA Tournament and a 24-11-3 record. He enters his seventh season at the helm with a career mark of 112-86-24. He guided the program to it's first ECAC Hockey Tournament title and was named the 2012 AHCA National Coach of the Year. En route to the championship, Wells and his staff, which earned ECAC Hockey Coaching Staff of the Year honors, guided the 2011-12 team to an 18-3-1 stretch from December to March, as the Saints swept Dartmouth from the conference quarterfinals before topping Harvard in overtime in the semifinals. St. Lawrence would clinch the ECAC Hockey title and Wells' second career NCAA berth behind a 3-1 win over No. 3 Cornell in Ithaca, NY. Wells returned to his alma mater as assistant hockey coach for the men's team in the 1999-2000 season after a stint behind the bench at Western Michigan University in the CCHA. He was named Associate Head Coach of the men's hockey team in January of 2003. A 1992 graduate of St. Lawrence and one of the heroes of that ECAC championship team, he earned the Brian P. Doyle Memorial Trophy as a senior. He scored the overtime game winner in a come-from-behind semifinal win over RPI in the 1992 ECAC tourney. Wells began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant at Colgate University following a European professional career. He has also served the University as director of St. Lawrence summer sport programs and a co-director of the Saint Summer Hockey School. Chris and his wife, Kate, are the parents of two daughters, Laura and Sarah and a son, Bobby.

Ted Wisner
Associate Head Coach
Wisner Associate Head Women's Hockey Coach Ted Wisner is his 10th season on the Saints' coaching staff and his sixth as the Associate Head Coach. He serves as the recruiting coordinator as well as assisting the staff in all other aspects of the program. The Saints' coaching staff earned 2012 ECAC Hockey Coaching Staff of the Year honors as well as Coach Chris Wells being named the 2012 AHCA National Coach of the Year. Wisner, a native of Canton, served as the head coach at Colgate, leading the Raiders progression from Division III status to Division I status from June 1999 through June 2002. While head coach of the Raiders, Wisner posted a 48-23-9 record and was named the American Hockey Coaches Association College Division National Coach of the Year in 2000. That same year, he was also named the ECACHL Division III Coach of the Year. He spent the 2003-2004 season as an assistant coach at Clarkson in the Golden Knights first season as a Division I program. A 1995 graduate of SUNY Potsdam, Wisner received a Masters in Education from St. Lawrence in 2001 where he began his coaching career. He served as a graduate assistant for the Saints for two seasons, then joined the the coaching staff at Cornell for the 1998-99 season. Wisner now resides in Canton, NY and has a daughter, Gina Catherine.

Mare Macdougall Bari
Assistant Coach
Bari has become both the Saints' strength and conditioning and video coordinator. She assists with the recruitment of student-athletes to St. Lawrence and works closely with both the team's forwards and penalty killing unit. In addition to her duties with the hockey program, Mare also teaches courses in the Sports Studies and Exercise Science minor. MacDougall Bari and the Saints had a banner season in 2011-2012, winning the program's first ECAC Hockey Tournament Championship and making a return to the NCAA Tournament. For their efforts, MacDougall Bari and the Saints' coaching staff earned 2012 ECAC Hockey Coaching Staff of the Year honors and she worked alongside the 2012 AHCA National Coach of the Year, Chris Wells. MacDougall Bari joined the Saints' staff in 2007-08 after serving as an assistant coach for four seasons at Wayne State University. The Lumsden, Saskatchewan native graduated Cum Laude from Mercyhurst College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. As a defenseman, Mare helped the Lakers capture back-to-back league championships in her two seasons at Mercyhurst, and earned CHA All-Academic honors her both her junior and senior year. She was very involved in the Erie community, as she worked as a volunteer at an after-school program for at-risk children. Mare lives in Canton, NY with her husband Franco Bari, the head women's soccer coach at St. Lawrence University.
