Molly Fiedler

Head Coach

Molly Fiedler is in her second season as the head women's soccer coach at St. Olaf in 2025-26 after being elevated to the position in June 2024 following two seasons as an assistant coach for the program. In her first season leading the program, Fielder guided St. Olaf to a program-record 14 victories as part of a 14-3-3 (.775) campaign in 2024. The Oles earned the No. 4 seed in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs with a 7-2-2 (.727) mark in conference play and claimed their second-ever victory in the MIAC Playoffs before falling in the semifinals. In 2024, Fiedler coached four United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees - the highest total in recorded program history - as well as four All-MIAC honorees. St. Olaf also had one Honorable Mention All-MIAC choice and two MIAC All-Playoff Team selections. Twenty-one of the program's 33 student-athletes earned Academic All-MIAC honors, while six were College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees. The ninth head coach in program history, Fiedler was promoted to head coach after helping St. Olaf to a 16-11-6 (.576) record, including a mark of 11-6-5 (.614) in the MIAC, over two seasons as an assistant coach in 2022 and 2023. In 2022, St. Olaf posted its joint-highest win total (10) since 2010 and its joint-highest single-season MIAC win total (7) in program history, while also claiming its first-ever victory in the MIAC Playoffs. St. Olaf produced two United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees, five All-MIAC selections, 27 Academic All-MIAC honorees, and nine College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections in her two seasons as an assistant coach. An Ole was also named the MIAC Rookie of the Year in both seasons. A former two-time All-Big Ten honoree at the University of Minnesota who also played professionally for ZFK Spartak in Serbia’s top division, Fiedler reunites with Maines, who was an assistant coach for the Golden Gophers during Fiedler’s senior season of 2018. In addition to her standout playing career, Fiedler has coaching experience as a head coach for Salvo Soccer Club in Woodbury and St. Croix Soccer Club. During her career as a Golden Gopher, Fiedler started all 87 of the games she played in from 2015-18, recording four goals and 26 assists, with the latter ranking tied for fourth in program history. The run of 87-straight starts is the second-longest run of consecutive starts in program history. Fiedler was a Third Team All-Big Ten selection as a senior, a Second Team All-Big Ten honoree as a junior, and a Big Ten Freshman Team selection as a rookie. She helped lead Minnesota to one Big Ten regular-season championship, two Big Ten Tournament titles, and three NCAA Tournament appearances during her four-year career. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar-Athlete, Fiedler graduated from the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development in 2019 with a bachelor of science degree as a family and social science major with a minor in youth studies. She went on to play professionally for ZFK Spartak in Serbia’s top division, starting all 33 of her appearances over the 2019 and 2021 seasons, including making seven starts in the European Women’s Champions League in Slovenia, the Netherlands, and Spain.   THE OLES UNDER MOLLY FIEDLER SEASON OVERALL PCT. John Moening

Assistant Coach

John Moening serves as an assistant coach and primarily works with the goalkeepers for the St. Olaf men's and women's soccer programs. The 2025-26 season is his fourth with the women's program and second with the men's program. He is also the recruiting coordinator for the women's program. In Moening's three seasons as an assistant with the women's program, St. Olaf has posted an overall record of 30-14-9 (.651), including a mark of 18-8-7 (.652) in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). St. Olaf won a program-record 14 games as part of a 14-3-3 season in 2024 that included the program's second-ever victory in the MIAC Playoffs. St. Olaf has produced six United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees, nine All-MIAC selections, 48 Academic All-MIAC honorees, and 15 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections in his three seasons with the program. An Ole was also named the MIAC Rookie of the Year in both 2022 and 2023. In his first season with the men's program in 2024, St. Olaf went 15-4-4 (.739) overall and 8-0-2 (.900) in the MIAC to earn a share of the MIAC regular-season title. The Oles went on to become the first program to "three-peat" as MIAC Playoff champions and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Moening came to St. Olaf after serving as the goalkeeper coach for the men's and women's programs at Hamline University from 2018-21. While at Hamline, he coached 2018 Honorable Mention All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) honoree Dean Isaacson. Since October 2010, Moening has worked as a goalkeeper coach and director of Keliix Intra Soccer Club, running the goalkeeper program for all ages at the club. He has also served as the goalkeeper coach for TFE/Fusion Soccer Club since June 2016, running training sessions for ages U11-U18. Prior to his time at Hamline, Moening was the goalkeeper coach for the girls teams at Minneapolis South and Minneapolis Washburn High Schools from 2014-20 and The Blake School from 2020-21.

Olivia Moore

Assistant Coach

Olivia Moore is in her second season as an assistant coach for the St. Olaf women's soccer program in 2025-26 after joining the staff in August 2024. Moore came to St. Olaf following three seasons as an assistant coach at Macalester College, where she helped the Scots to back-to-back appearances in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs in 2022 and 2023. Macalester posted winning records in each of Moore's three seasons on staff and was a combined 27-19-9 in her three seasons. Moore played collegiately at Virginia Military Institute and South Carolina State University and earned a number of accolades, including being named the Big South Freshman of the Year and the Virginia Rookie of the Year among Division I players. She went on to play three years fo the Carolina Elite Cobras USL W-League squad and also coaches at Salvo Soccer Club.
