Bassett and the Lady Warriors had a tough non-conference slate to begin season. After falling in many close games, Sterling started to find a rhythm throughout the season. The Lady Warriors would come up with wins over top 25 opponents, including #24 Kansas Wesleyan and #25 Friends University, as well reaching the KCAC Womens Basketball Conference Tournament for the second straight time under Coach Bassett. The Lady Warriors finished with a 11-19 (9-11) record. Sterling had two Warriors recognized with postseason honors including Hailey Davis being named a unanimous All-KCAC First Team selection and an All-KCAC Defensive Team selection, while Jordin Greer was an All-KCAC Honorable Mention selection for the Lady Warriors.
