Megan Haughey

Head Coach

Megan Haughey was hired as the head coach of the Stevens women’s basketball program in 2012-13.  Entering the 2025-26 season, Haughey holds a 212-115 overall record and is the winningest coach in program history. Additionally, Haughey serves as the Deputy Director of Athletics and Senior Women's Administrator (SWA) for the entirety of the Stevens athletics department. The SWA is the highest ranking female in each NCAA athletic department, excluding the athletic director. The designation is intended to enhance representation of female experience and perspective at the institutional, conference and national levels and support women's interests. Her daily responsibilities can include any department tasks and must include senior management team responsibilities. In 2020-21, Haughey received the NADIIIAA Emerging Athletic Administrator Award, given to a rising professional in the with seven or fewer years of cumulative experience as a titled athletics administrator at the Division III level. Megan Petuskey

Assistant Coach

Megan Petuskey is in her sixth season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Stevens women's basketball program after a successful four-year playing career with the Ducks. Petuskey has helped Stevens reach the Empire 8 Tournament in each her first three seasons on Castle Point, including the 2017-18 season in which the Ducks advanced to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Empire 8 Tournament title. Currently, Petuskey is a Senior Associate Digital Client Partner for Pfizer. In her playing career with Stevens, Petuskey played in 86 career contests over four years under current head coach Megan Haughey. She was a senior of the 2015-16 team that won the Empire 8 Regular Season and Tournament titles and went to the NCAA Round of 16. Stevens produced a 77-37 overall record in her four years with the program. Additionally, Petuskey was named the Stevens' Sportswoman of the Year in 2014-15. Petuskey achieved her bachelor of science degree in business and technology with concentrations on biotechnology and finance from Stevens in May of 2016. She is currently working toward her MBA from Stevens as well, with a projected degree date of 2022.

Samantha Lapszynski

Assistant Coach

Samantha Lapszynski joined the women's basketball coach staff as an assistant coach in August of 2019 after completing a stint as a graduate assistant on the staff of FDU-Florham. Lapszynski brings Division I and international playing experience with her to Castle Point. As an undergraduate at Niagara University, Lapszynski averaged just under 12 points per game in her senior season to collect Second Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference honors. All totaled, she finished with 488 career point across 97 career games on Monteagle Ridge. A two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection, Lapszynski still ranks among the program's all-time leaders with 74 career blocks and her 266 rebounds during the 2015-16 season ranks third in program history.  After graduating summa cum laude from Niagara in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, Lapszynski played professionally in Europe for three years, spending two years in Poland and one in Germany. She earned her master's of arts degree from FDU-Florham's Peter Sammartino School of Education in May 2021.
