Head Coach
Stevenson University Director of Athletics Brett Adams announced the hire of Charlie Johnson as the new head coach for the men's soccer program in May 2024. "We are excited to welcome Charlie as our next men's soccer coach," said Stevenson University Director of Athletics Brett Adams. "His background – as well as his experience in Division III – will help our program continue to be successful and we look forward to the next chapter in Stevenson University men's soccer." "Firstly, I want to thank Athletic Director Brett Adams and Stevenson administration for the opportunity to become Stevenson University's next Head Men's Soccer Coach," Johnson said. " I am truly honored and excited to work with a talented group of student-athletes and a dedicated university. I look forward to leading a new era of Stevenson men's soccer and playing on Owings Mills East campus!" During his time at Lafayette, the Leopards qualified for the Patriot League tournament three times and advanced to the Patriot League Championship games in Spring 2021 and 2023. Also, Johnson assisted the program to its first ever ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Top-25 poll in Spring 2021. Prior to his time in Easton, Johnson was the assistant and goalkeeper coach at PSU-Harrisburg, as the Nittany Lions won the then North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) title and went to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history in 2019. Johnson guided PSU-Harrisburg to a new single-season win record in program history (15 wins) and ranked first in Division III in regular season shutouts with 12. From 2017-2019 served as the first assistant and goalkeeper coach at nearby McDaniel College, leading the Green Terror to their first winning season and playoff berth in 12 years. The Green Terror posted its best defensive record for goals-against in 20 years. Johnson attended York College of Pennsylvania, where he had a four-year playing career that included a Capital Athletic Conference title and a trip to the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen in 2013. He was a two-year team captain and appeared in 56 games for the Spartans, fourth all-time. Johnson also ranks in the top five of all goalkeeper records at York College of PA. He graduated from York College of PA with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management and a minor in athletic coaching in 2017. He later earned his Master's Degree in Kinesiology from McDaniel College in 2019. Johnson holds a United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma and a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Level 3 diploma.

Darion Ferreira
Assistant Coach
Darion Ferreira joins the Mustang Men’s Soccer staff ahead of the 2024 season. Ferreira joins new head coach Charlie Johnson and returning assistant coach Brad Sellar. Ferreira comes most recently from Grinnell College (Iowa) where he served as head assistant coach and helped the Pioneers to nine victories and a Midwest Conference final. Prior to his stint at Grinnell, Ferreira served as an assistant coach with New Jersey’s FC Europa before becoming a head coach at TSF Academy, a top soccer club in the United States. Ferreira played his own collegiate soccer career at Penn State Harrisburg, helping them to a NEAC championship in the 2019 season and a United East Conference title in 2021. In both championship seasons, the team tied for most single-season wins in program history with 15. He graduated in 2021 with degrees in Criminal Justice and Political science. In addition to his college coaching experience, Ferreira possess multiple United Soccer Coaches 11v11/Pre-National Foundations diplomas as well as a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 2 diploma. He also served as a referee for six years as part of the New Jersey Referee Committee.

Noah Roche
Assistant Coach
Noah Roche joins the coaching staff most recently from York College of Pennsylvania, where he helped lead the squad to a MAC Commonwealth final appearance and was named an All-MAC Commonwealth forward during the 2024 season. The forward led the team in scoring with 14 points on six goals and two assists. During a stellar four-year career with the Spartans, as Roche appeared in 69 total games, starting in 45. A 2025 graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, Roche obtained a bachelor's degree in sport management with dual minors in athletic coaching and business administration. He is currently obtaining his masters degree in Sport Management from Liberty University. Roche earns coaching experience while he served as an assistant coach of the U19 Baltimore Celtic West team during the 2022-23 club season. Roche also holds a certification as an USSF Referee.
