Judy brings a level of technical, business and leadership experience to the cheer program. During his tenure, the competitive cheer team finished seventh at the NCA Collegiate National Championship in both 2012 and 2013 after making the team's first-ever appearance in 2010. The Mustangs also won the first three Capital Athletic Conference cheer competitions from 2009-11. Judy's formal experience began when he cheered for the coed team at Stevenson, serving as team captain as a senior year. Upon graduation, he founded the Maryland Spirit Company, LLC in 2007. That same year, he began coaching the varsity cheer team at Perry Hall High School, winning several state and national titles. It was here that he learned first-hand the technique behind teaching successful tumbling skills and elite stunting combinations. Judy was also a member of the Baltimore Ravens coed cheer team. This unique opportunity allowed him to learn and refine the extremely high level of skill and execution required by the NFL in order to nationally broadcast cheerleaders and their routines. His ability to successfully interact and lead others through highly demanding and stressful situations resulted in his appointment as captain of the Ravens' stunt team. Judy's professional conduct and leadership skills opened additional doors for him in the competitive all-Star Cheerleading industry as well. In 2009, he started working for the Maryland Twisters and the Maryland Vipers as a cheer and tumbling coach. After winning state, regional and national titles, he bought the Viper All-Star program. Currently, Judy acts as owner and general manager for two Viper gyms with over 300 clients. A 2007 graduate of Stevenson with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and minor in computer information systems, Judy manages sponsored and non-sponsored finances as a Senior Research Service Analyst with the Department of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University.
