Harry Silverstein
Head Coach
Silverstein is in his third year as the Stockton head womens tennis coach. Silverstein, just the second head coach in the history of Stockton womens tennis, has compiled a record of 19-12 during a pair of winning seasons at the helm. Last year, Silverstein coached Stockton to a 9-7 overall record and a second straight 4-2 mark in NJAC play. The campaign was highlighted by a five-match winning streak. In 2014-15, he led the Ospreys to a 10-5 overall record and a 4-2 conference slate during his first season as a college coach. The Ospreys strung together five straight wins during the fall before finishing the year with a three-match winning streak during the spring trip to Hilton Head. Silverstein made the jump to the college level after a highly successful 30-year career at Vineland High School. He led both the girls and boys teams during his three decades coaching the Fighting Clan before arriving at Stockton in 2014. Silverstein coached the Vineland girls tennis team from 1984 to 2014, amassing 465 wins, and also helmed the boys tennis squad from 2002-14, where he accumulated 172 more victories for a whopping 628 career wins overall. Silverstein won a total of six Cape Atlantic League championships, four girls and two boys. His teams also captured nine division titles, seven girls and two boys, plus the 2005 South Jersey Group IV girls crown. Silverstein also spent 12 seasons as Vineland assistant boys tennis coach (1983-95). He was inducted into the New Jersey Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1998 and New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Hall of Fame in 2000. Silverstein was named Vineland Daily Journal Coach of the Year five times and 2006-07 New Jersey Boys Tennis Coach of the Year by the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association. Silverstein, a 1979 graduate of Glassboro State College, was a physical education teacher for over 30 years. In addition to coaching at the high school level, he also is a certified United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) teaching pro who has over thirty years of experience giving private lessons and group instruction. Silverstein has coordinated numerous USTA and local junior tournaments as well as serving on the seeding committee for the NJSIAA state tournament for over a decade.

Shane Monroe
Head Coach
Shane Monroe was hired in September 2025 as the third head coach in the history of the Stockton women's tennis program. Monroe is a Professional Tennis Registry Level II certified coach with experience as a tennis instructor since 2019. His coaching background includes stints at the Palm Beach Bath and Tennis Club, North Palm Beach Country Club, Ibis Country Club, Phipps Ocean Park, Jupiter Island Club, Brunswick Hills Tennis Club, Ocean City Recreation Department and Louisiana State University club tennis team. Monroe played four years of college tennis on the NCAA Division I level, two apiece at Brigham Young University (2014-16) and Louisiana State University (2017-19). In two seasons at BYU, he recorded a 37-17 record playing No.1 singles to go with 17 doubles victories. Monroe earned an All-WCC Second Team singles nod in 2016. Monroe moved on to LSU and collected 26 wins while playing No. 1 singles plus 23 doubles victories from 2017-19. He added his second career all-conference honor with an All-SEC Second Team selection in 2018. Prior to his college career, Monroe was a highly ranked junior player who attended the John McEnroe Tennis Academy and played scholastically at St. Augustine Prep.

Jared Lewis
Assistant Coach
Updated 8/18/25 Jared Lewis is in his third year as a member of the Stockton track & field coaching staff in the jumps. Lewis, a Stockton alumnus, possesses coaching experience from a pair of colleges. He served as an assistant track & field/cross country coach at Arcadia University for two years. Lewis also spent time as a graduate assistant at Division II California University (Pa.). Lewis is the most decorated student-athlete in Stockton history. He earned a total of nine All-American honors in the triple jump and long jump as an Osprey. His distinguished career was highlighted by his winning the NCAA national championship in the indoor triple jump twice (2017-18). Lewis qualified for the NCAA Championships in all eight of his seasons (four indoor, four outdoor) and was the NCAA runner-up twice in addition to his two national titles. He was chosen NJAC Male Athlete of the Year in 2016 and earned two NJAC Most Outstanding Male Athlete and three NJAC Outstanding Male Field Athlete awards as well as 10 USTFCCCA All-Region honors (six triple jump, four long jump). Lewis earned his bachelor’s degree in hospitality & tourism management from Stockton University and master’s degree in sports management from California University (Pa.).
