Also during his time at Penn, Gosselin was in charge of the programs community service project -- the Young Quakers. This program resulted in the creation of a middle school track team at two low-income West Philadelphia schools. A 2012 graduate of Gonzaga, Gosselin was a middle distance specialist, who ended his career among the programs top-10 in both the indoor and outdoor 800 meters. After earning his degree in human physiology, he served as Gonzagas volunteer assistant coach in 2012. He helped mentor athletes to school records in the 800, 1,500, 5,000 and 10,000 during that time. He also served as a volunteer assistant coach at Saint Martin's University in 2013 and helped guide two athletes to all-conference honors.  Since graduating from Gonzaga, Gosselin has continued to run competitively. He won the 2012 Spokane half marathon and the 2013 Wenatchee marathon. Gosselin has earned his Endurance Specialist Certification from the USTFCCCA Coaching Academy as well as his USATF level I certification. Annette Acuff

Coach

Acuff enters her 17th season as the head cross country coach at Binghamton in 2016. She also serves as an assistant track & field coach for the Bearcats. During her tenure, Binghamton has built a successful Division I distance program from the ground up. In the past nine seasons, the Binghamton mens team has been one of the top cross country squads in the America East Conference. The Bearcats have won the 2009 and 2014 titles and were the runner up in both 2010 and 2013. In five of the past eight seasons, Binghamton has been ranked among the top 15 teams in the Northeast Region by the USTFCCCA. Individually, Erik van Ingen won the America East individual title in 2009 and qualified for the NCAA Championships in both 2009 and 2010. In his second appearance at the national meet, he placed a program-best 42nd overall. Since 2008, nine different runners have posted a total of 14 all-conference selections. van Ingen, meanwhile, was named to the All-Northeast Region team in 2009 and 2010.  The Binghamton womens team, meanwhile, had the top freshman finisher at the 2009 America East Cross Country Meet and has posted six all-conference selections since 2004. In addition, the Bearcat women have had two All-Northeast Region selections as well as the 2006 ECAC individual champion. In the classroom, Binghamton has been just as successful under Acuffs watch. The mens and women's teams have posted a combined total of 17 America East All-Academic selections. In 2010, Binghamton also had its first-ever America East Cross Country Scholar-Athlete in Chris Gaube. The men's team has earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors eight times under Acuff's watch while the women have been cited nine teams. Since 2008, 16 members of the Binghamton womens team have been inducted into the National College Athlete Honors Society. During that same stretch, 11 members of the mens team have also been inducted.  Equally as impressive for Acuff has been her role as the assistant coach with the Binghamton track & field distance program. van Ingen was a four-time USTFCCCA first-team All-American while Jesse Garn has earned first-team honors twice with a year a eligibility still remaining. Both developed into sub four-minute milers and competed in the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games. On the regional level, van Ingen was named the Northeast Region Track Athlete of the Year in 2011 and Garn earned the same accolade in 2015. Acuff, meanwhile, has been named the USTFCCCA's Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year twice during the indoor season (2011 and 2015) and once during the outdoor campaign (2012).  The men's distance program has been instrumental in Binghamton earning runner up finishes at seven out of the last eight America East Indoor Championships. The Bearcats have also earned runner up finishes at the conference outdoor meet in 2010, 2011 and 2012. At the conclusion of the 2008, 2011 and 2014 indoor track seasons, as well as the 2012 outdoor track campaign, Acuff was part of the mens coaching staff that was voted the best in the America East Conference. On the womens side, seven different runners earn all-conference honors in a total of 12 events since Acuff took over the program. This includes one individual title and five runner-up performances. In 2013, Acuff was part of the America East Womens Outdoor Track Coaching Staff of the Year. Acuff came to Binghamton from the University of Northern Colorado, where she was the assistant womens cross country coach for three years. During that span, she coached one cross country All-American and three All-American distance runners in track. Under Acuffs leadership, the Bears enjoyed back-to-back NCAA Division II Championship appearances, placing 10th in 1997 and 14th in 1998. In the five years prior to her arrival at Northern Colorado, the program had not advanced to the national meet. In 1997, Northern Colorados coaching staff was selected as North Central Region Coaches of the Year. Acuff also was an assistant mens and womens track coach for three years, handling the distance runners. A former NCAA Division I runner, Acuff earned all-conference honors in indoor track two straight years in the 1,000 meters at Oklahoma (1992-93). Acuff was also an Academic All-Big Eight selection four times (1991-94). Acuff received her bachelors degree in psychology from Oklahoma in 1995, and went on to earn her masters degree in physical education, with an emphasis in sports psychology, from Northern Colorado in May 2000. She received her Level I and Level II U.S. Track & Field Certification in 1999 and 2001 respectively.
