Paul Dotterweich
Head Coach
Dotterweich's wing. Max joined Rodriguez as the only swimmers to ever garner the award three-straight seasons, while on the men's side, Nasky became the second Geneseo swimmer to land the award twice, joining in achieving the feat. Dotterweich graduated from Buffalo State in 1997 and took the reigns of the swimming & diving program at his alma mater later that year. Over the next three years, he helped lead the Bengals back to prominence in the SUNYAC, guiding the women to their highest conference championship finish (third) ever, while the men also notched their best finish (third) in over 20 years. Dotterweich's undergraduate career was highlighted by being named the first recipient of the McDermott Award for dedication to the program after his junior year before lauding Kissinger Student-Athlete Award recognition following his senior campaign. A Geneseo, N.Y. resident, he and his wife Jennifer have two sons -- Phillip (10) and Evan (7).

Noah Beck
Assistant Coach
Beck also serves as head coach of the Cortland YMCA Stingers, guiding competitors of all skill levels from ages 5-18 that have included four national qualifiers and a national finalist over the last four seasons. Spending two seasons as an assistant coach for the program from 2007-09 before taking over as head coach, 12 of his athletes have gone on to compete at the intercollegiate level as well. Beck spent one season as an assistant coach with the SUNY Cortland swimming & diving program in 2013-14. His previous experience also includes coaching the Cortland Adapted Swim Team, working with 25 swimmers with varying mental and physical special needs ranging in age between 4-21. Beck is a member of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), and serves a a member of the national ranking committee. Beck is a 2004 graduate of the University of Connecticut where he earned a degree in ecology and evolutionary biology. He also was a four-year competitor on the Huskies' swimming & diving squad, specializing in the butterfly and distance freestyle events.

Shawn Austin
Coach
Austin enters his ninth season as diving coach at Geneseo for the 2016-17 season. The 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Diving Coach of the Year, Austin guided Sam Randall '18 to a national championship in 3-meter diving as well as a third-place showing on 1-meter at the 2016 NCAA Division III Championships. Randall was the first national champion in Geneseo swimming & diving history. Austin was also named the 2016 SUNYAC Diving Coach of the Year after leading five divers to 10 top-eight performances at the conference meet. With over 20 years of diving experience including 16 as a coach, he has guided his divers to six NCAA Division III All-America performances as well as 22 school/pool record-breaking showings during his tenure with the Knights. Austins coaching resume also includes six NCAA Region 4 qualifiers, four ECAC Champions, including two Divers of the Meet recipients, 38 SUNYAC Championship finalists, five SUNYAC Championship performances, two SUNYAC Championship Diver of the Meet efforts and three SUNYAC record-setting performances. Austin was also named the 2009 and 2010 ECAC Championship Womens Diving Coach of the Meet. Additionally, diver Wills Demoulin was named the 2011 Ira S. Wilson Award winner, recognizing the top Geneseo athlete for career achievement in the department. Austin has also been the head coach of the Blue Wave Diving Club since 2008 after spending nine years in the same position with Finger Lakes Diving. Under his tutelage, his clubs have produced 26 Section V Champions and 33 New York State Championship qualifiers. Nineteen of his divers have made the state finals, finishing as high as second. Austins Blue Wave Divers have competed at numerous AAU and USA Diving events in the country. Last summer, 18 of his divers finaled at the AAU National Championships in Atlanta, including four gold, three silver, and four bronze medal winners en route to finishing third overall. A graduate of Alfred State College and Monroe Community College, he was a four-time NJCAA Region III Champion and two-time NJCAA National bronze medal winner from 1997-99. During the 1999 Region III Championships, Austin shattered the 1-meter and 3-meter records, while also anchoring the second-place 200 freestyle relay. Named the Mens Swimming Most Outstanding Performer, it was the first time the award had been presented to a diver. He remains the 11-dive record on both boards at M.C.C. Also a three-time Empire State Games Mens Open qualifier, he finished as high as second place during his career. A native of Naples, N.Y., Austin has worked full time at Geneseo as a technology support professional with the Computer Information Technology department since 2005. Shawn resides in Dansville, N.Y.
