Zach McCoy
Assistant Coach
Zach McCoy is in his first season with the Susquehanna University baseball coaching staff for the 2026 season. Originally from Modesto, Calif., McCoy played college ball at the University of Dubuque in Iowa, where he earned his Bachelor's, before finishing his career at University of Wisconsin Platteville where he received his Master's and began his college coaching career. In his time playing at Dubuque, the Spartans won the first conference title in program history in 2018, then advancing to win two games at NCAA regionals. As a middle infielder, McCoy is in the school record books ranking sixth all-time for assists in one season and seventh in career assists. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing and Management in 2021. McCoy continued his playing career at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, receiving his Master's in Sports Administration in 2023. He served as an assistant coach with the Pioneers for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. This past spring he was an assistant coach at Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. and this summer coached the Carolina Forest Crawdads of the Beach Collegiate Baseball League. Along with his college coaching background, McCoy was a Senior Sales Assistant for Ticket Operations at the University of Tennessee and as the Baseball Site/Tournament Director for JP Sports for three years.

Joe Matarazzo
Assistant Coach
Joe Matarazzo is in his first season with the Susquehanna University baseball coaching staff for the 2026 season. A New Jersey native, Matarazzo comes to SU after a two-year stint as the head baseball coach at his alma mater County College of Morris (CCM). Matarazzo joined the CCM baseball coaching staff in 2023 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He was promoted to head coach the following year, leading the Titans to the 2024 Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) championship as he had a head-coaching record of 51-38. They made the regional semifinals all three years as the program boasted one All-American in 2023, a Regional Player of the Year in 2024, and six First Team All-Region honorees between 2023-25. Coach Matarazzo played high school ball at Warren Hills Regional High School, playing three years on the varsity team. He was the team MVP his senior year, while being chosen First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-West Jersey and All-Area, and an All-West Jersey Gold Glove selection as an outfielder, graduating in 2011. He moved on to play college ball at County College of Morris for two years before receiving his Associate's in Business Administration in 2013. He finished his degree at Montclair State University, earning his Bachelor's in Business Management in 2015. Matarazzo also coached in the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League, coaching "Untamed" for three summers and winning the 2025 ABCCL title. Outside of coaching he worked in event and operations management across major sports venues in the New York/New Jersey area, including Prudential Center, Barclays Center, and Madison Square Garden.

Ty Treaster
Assistant Coach
Ty Treaster joins the Susquehanna baseball coaching staff for the 2025-26 year as assistant coach. Treaster hails from Richfield, PA. Treaster joins the staff after a successful playing and coaching career spanning from Division II University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where Treaster was a pitcher from 2016-2019. After graduating, Treaster began coaching at Juniata High School from 2021-2025 (head coach 23-25) where he led his team to three consecutive competitive seasons, advancing to the AAAA District 6 Finals each year under him as the head coach. At UPJ, he earned his associate of science in Respiratory Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management. Ty also pitched for the Opthalmic Associates in Johnstown's AAABA collegiate league. Treaster is currently a Transplant Coordinator for Gift of Life Donor Program.

Matt Slivinski
Assistant Coach
Slivinski is a 2003 graduate of Albright College, where he pitched, played centerfield and and put up a career batting average of .311. In 2003, he earned first-team all-MAC honors while tying for second in NCAA Division III in saves. He holds the career and single-season saves records for the Lions. Slivinski served as an assistant coach at Albright during the 2004 season before taking a coaching job at Great Mills (Md.) High School, where he helped the team to the state quarterfinals. Before college, he pitched and played centerfield at local Selinsgrove (Pa.) High School. He now plays competitively for the Northumberland Diamondbacks in the North Branch League, based in Sunbury, Pa. Outside of baseball, Slivinski works as a local attorney.

Troy Allen
Coach
Troy Allen, a baseball fixture in central Pennsylvania, joins Denny Bowers' baseball coaching staff for the 2024-25 year as Pitching Coach. Allen brings more than 20 years of experience as a pitching coach to the staff. The program director of Flood City Elite – North and owner of the Own the Plate Baseball Academy in State College, Allen has developed more than 50 college pitchers, including three who played professionally. He also formerly served as the varsity head coach at State College High School and coached for the DeMarini Stars. Allen played collegiate baseball at George Washington University and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1997, spending multiple years in the organization.
