Kaitlyn Wahila

Head Coach

Wahila joined the Crusaders following four years as the assistant field hockey coach and indoor athletic facility manager at Division I Siena College. Wahila, a 2006 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, began her tenure at Siena in 2007 after earning her Master of Science degree in Sport Management from Ithaca College. As the assistant field hockey coach at Siena, she assisted in all facets of the program including on-field coaching, planning of practices, recruiting, compliance, fundraising and home and away game day management. During her tenure with the program, the Saints captured the most non-conference victories since the team joined the Northeast Conference and boasted a 3.34 team grade-point average (GPA). As the indoor facility manager, Wahila oversaw the Marcelle Athletic Complex, the home of 18 Division I sports. She scheduled all indoor practices for varsity and club teams and served as the game day manager for womens volleyball and womens basketball games. Prior to arriving at Siena, Wahila spent one year as the graduate assistant coach at Division III Ithaca College while working towards her Masters degree. In addition, Wahila has served as a USA Field Hockey Futures Coach since 2002 and has coached the Adirondack Club Field Hockey Team since 2009. As a student-athlete at the University of New Hampshire, Wahila started every game of her four-year career and received the programs Freshmen Award in 2002. She was on the 2002 America East Conference All-Rookie Team and was named to the leagues Honor Roll in 2004. Wahila graduated from New Hampshire in 2006 with a degree in business administration and a minor in psychology.

Allison Fordyce

Coach

Allison Fordyce was named the head coach of the Susquehanna field hockey team in June of 2017, returning to the Selinsgrove campus for the third time. Fordyce had served as an assistant coach twice before between 2008 and 2010 and then again in 2012. She brought with her more than 15 years of coaching experience as both an assistant and head coach in field hockey as well as lacrosse. Fordyce had cultivated one of the best programs in the region, as Susquehanna has been regionally and nationally ranked during her tenure. The River Hawks earned their first Landmark Conference banners under Fordyce, winning it now three times in 2018, 2023, and 2024 to secure their first NCAA Tournament bids since 2002.
