Sarah Flick

Assistant Coach

Sarah Quigley joined the women's lacrosse coaching staff in Fall of 2024. A 2014 alumnus of Lycoming College and the captain of the Spanish National Team at the 2022 World Women's Lacrosse Championships, Quigley comes to the River Hawks after a five-year run as head coach of her alma mater.    Despite her first two seasons in 2020 and 2021 being severely altered due to the pandemic, Quigley helped the Warriors make two appearances in the postseason and coached nine all-conference picks, two conference rookies of the year and helped the team to back-to-back .500 or better seasons for the first time since 2017. Quigley spearheaded a dramatic turnaround in the Warriors in 2022, as the team finished 10-9 overall and reached the semifinals of the MAC Freedom Championship, defeating DeSales in a conference tournament first round game at UPMC Field. The Warriors featured four all-conference players, including MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year Katie Maguire. She continued that run in 2023, as the Warriors finished 9-9 overall and again reached the semifinals of the MAC Freedom Championship thanks to an 11-9 win over Arcadia in the first round of the tournament. The Warriors had three all-conference players and MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year Riley Block. She and the program made the transition to the Landmark Conference for the 2024 season, where the team posted a 6-9 record and conference wins over Wilkes and Goucher. The program etched its first All-Landmark honorees in Second Team attacker Riley Block and Honorable Mention goalie Zoe Stauffer.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lycoming College in 2014, Quigley returned to New City, N.Y., where she became the varsity girls' lacrosse coach at Hastings High School before moving to Clarkstown South in 2017, where she served as the head coach for the past three seasons. She also coached with the Clarkstown Lightning club program and Dip N Dunk Lacrosse.   In 2018, while finishing a Master of Social Work from New York University, she joined the Spanish National Team, where she served as captain of the team at the European Lacrosse Championships, helping the team to a 4-3 record. Since joining the team, Quigley has scored 19 goals in the team's 12 games, leading the squad. Quigley was a four-year starter for the Warriors, finishing her career with 55 points and two game-winning goals, including a thrilling last-minute score in a 17-16 win over Albright in 2012. Quigley was valuable in nearly every aspect of the game, as she also scooped up 109 ground balls, picked up 50 draw controls and caused 21 turnovers in her career.

Laura Moan

Coach

Moan, a January 2010 inductee into The Greater Baltimore Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame, was named the head coach of Susquehanna University's women's lacrosse team in November 2008 and completed her seventh season at SU in 2015. In 2014, the Crusaders earned their second-straight at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. This came following a record-breaking 2013 campaign as Moan and the Crusaders won a program-record 17 games, captured its first-ever Landmark Conference title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Following the regular season, Moan and assistant coach Katie Zichelli were named the Coaching Staff of the Year, five players received All-Conference recognition and senior goalie Emily Stankaitis earned All-America status. In 2012, Moan and her staff garnered Landmark Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors and led a squad that included four All-League players. Prior to take over at Susquehanna, Moan was the head women's lacrosse coach and a physical education instructor at Division III SUNY Oneonta from 2001 to 2007, earning State University of New York Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2003. Before her time at Oneonta, she served as the head women's lacrosse coach at Division III Marymount University (Va.) from 1999 to 2001, and at DIII St. Mary's College of Maryland, where she head coached the women's lacrosse and field hockey teams from 1997 to 1999. Moan was also the head coach of the Selinsgrove, Pa., girls lacrosse club team in 2008. She has been a member of numerous national committees, including the NCAA women's lacrosse championships and NCAA regional advisory committees. She chaired the championships committee from 2003 to 2005, and she is still an NCAA championships site representative. Moan served in various roles within the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association from 1997 to 2007, sitting on committees to select all-star game players and all-region and All-America honorees. Moan was a US Lacrosse grant committee member from 2006 to 2007, a SUNYAC sport committee chairperson from 2005 to 2006 and a Capital Athletic Conference sport committee chairperson from 1997 to 2001. Entering 2012, she has compiled a 114-95 career record in 13years of coaching women's college lacrosse, including three straight double-digit-win seasons from 2002 to 2004 at Oneonta. The Red Dragons were 11-4 in 2003, with the 11 wins being the highest single-season total in program history. Her 2004 team qualified for Eastern College Athletic Conference postseason play. Moan coached Marymount to seven wins in 2000, which was more wins than the team's previous three seasons combined. Her 1998 and 1999 St. Mary's teams posted a combined 28-7 record and made two trips to the NCAA championships. The 1998 team was ranked as high as No. 9 in Division III, while the 1999 Seahawks got as high as No. 5. Moan was the CAC and an IWLCA regional Coach of the Year for both of those seasons and coached the 1998 and 1999 CAC Rookies and Players of the Year. She played lacrosse for four years as the starting goalkeeper for Division I Boston College. She graduated from Boston College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and earned a Master of Education degree in athletic administration and leadership from Goucher College in 2000.
