Darlene Holland
Head Coach
Holland is the head coach for TLU Men's/Women's Cross Country and Men's/Women's Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field. She is in her fourth season as head coach of women's cross country and women's indoor/outdoor track and field. She is in her second season as head coach of men's cross county and men's indoor/outdoor track and field. Holland first took the head coaching role for women's cross country and women's indoor/outdoor track and field at the start of the 2012-13 academic year. The men's cross country and men's indoor/outdoor track and field programs were started in 2014-15, and Holland was named the coach for those programs from their inceptions. Holland's has been with the Bulldogs since the fall of 2006. She has been instrumental in helping the Bulldogs to two national relay titles (one in the 4x400 indoor and one in the 4x100 outdoor) and to a 2010 individual long jump national title in NCAA DIII women's track and field. Holland was hired in the fall of 2006, shortly after Patrick Zarate took over as the head coach at TLU. Together, Zarate and Holland coached the Bulldogs to three consecutive women's track and field team championships in the American Southwest Conference. The titles came in 2010, 2011, and 2012. With Holland as head coach, the Bulldogs captured an ASC Women's Cross Country Co-Championship in 2012 and an ASC Women's Track & Field Championship in 2013. Since joining the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, the women's track and field team won the 2014 SCAC title, making it five consecutive women's track and field team championships. In 2015, the men and the women each finished second in the track and field championships. With Holland as either head coach or top assistant, the Bulldogs have produced 48 NCAA Division III All-Americans and three individual-event NCAA Division III national titles in women's track and field. The NCAA DIII national championships occurred in 2007 (women's indoor 4x400 relay), 2008 (women's outdoor 4x100 relay), and 2010 (Briana Aiken in the women's long jump). Holland has coached 52 participants at the NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Those 52 participants have produced 31 NCAA Division III Top 10 finishes. Holland joined the Texas Lutheran staff after working an assistant coach at Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, Calif. Holland graduated from Adams State College (Colo.) in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in English, journalism and communications. While at Adams State, Holland was an All-American in track and field, an Academic All-American, and a 15-time national championship qualifier. Holland qualified for the Junior Olympics as a senior in high school in the 400 and 800-meter races. Holland came to the TLU cross country and track and field programs with 13 years experience at both the high school and collegiate level. Holland is USA Track and Field Level 1 certified. Holland was an assistant coach at Plattsburgh State University (N.Y.) from 1991 to 1993. She was the Plattsburgh High School head coach for cross country and track and field from 1993 to 1999. Holland then returned to Plattsburgh State as an assistant cross country and track and field coach (1999-2003). In 2004, Coach Holland assisted with the Soka University cross country/track and field programs until she accepted the assistant coaching position at TLU.

Brandon Chiuminetta
Assistant Coach
Chiuminetta joined Texas Lutheran Athletics in Spring 2015 as an assistant coach for womens and mens cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field. Chiuminetta (pronounced KIM-n-EDDY) is a 2011 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. He graduated with a bachelors degree in business marketing. Chiuminetta was a four-year letterman for the Roadrunners in mens cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field. During the track and field seasons, Chiuminetta competed in middle-distance and distance events and ran the steeplechase. Chiuminetta won a 2007 Texas Class 4A State Championship in the 800-meter dash for Dripping Springs High School. Chiuminetta is the son of Albert and Leigh Chiuminetta. He has one brother, Blake.

Marty Davenport
Assistant Coach
Davenport is in his 10th season working with the throwers of the Texas Lutheran track and field program. Coach Davenport competed at Odessa Junior College from 1981 to 1983. Davenport then transferred to the University of Texas-Austin and competed for the Longhorns from 1983 to 1985. Coach Davenports athletic achievements include the National Junior College Amateur Association Discus National (N.J.C.A.A) Champion in 1982, N.J.C.A.A. shot put indoor All-American in 1983, the N.J.C.A.A shot and discus outdoor All-American in 1983, the Junior Pan-American Games Discus runner-up in 1983, Southwest Conference Discus Champion in 1984 for the Longhorns, 2nd place in the discus at the N.C.A.A. National Track & Field Outdoor Championships in 1985, placed 5th at the U.S. Nationals, and participated in the Olympic Sports Festival 1987. In all, Coach Davenport was awarded six All-American honors. Davenports coaching experience includes being on the University of Texas Strength and Conditioning Staff, Austin Striders Track Club throws coach for six years St. Michaels Academy, for six years. Coach Davenport is USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified. Coach Davenport has coached 45 A.A.U. All-Americans in the shot put, discus and javelin and has had more than 10 A.A.U. National Champions.

Kris Allison
Assistant Coach
Allison is an assistant coach for TLU Women and Men's Track & Field charged with training the pole vaulters. In his time consulting Texas Lutheran, Allison coached Jessica Raglon to two American Southwest Conference Championships (2005, 2007) and to two ASC Runner-up Finishes (2004, 2006). In 2008, Raglon finished ninth in the nation at the NCAA DIII Championships. Allison also worked with multiple-time conference champion and All-American Ligia Bolivar, who finished sixth at the 2011 NCAA Division III Championships and placed eighth in the 2010 NCAA DIII Championships, earning All-America honors each year. Allison also worked with recent TLU conference champions - Cori Picazo and Reggie Scott. Allison also spent four seasons coaching the Texas State pole vaulters in San Marcos, Texas. In the four seasons, six NCAA Midwest Regional Qualifiers, one Southland Conference Champion, and one NCAA National Qualifier. Allison took a hiatus from Texas State in 2004 to volunteer his expertise with the vaulters at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). At UIW, his vaulter finished 2nd at the NCAA DII Championships. From 2001-2004, Allison also helped Trinity University athletes win three SCAC Conference Championship titles. Additionally, Kris Allison is the head coach of the Lone Star Pole Vaulting Club, based in New Braunfels, Texas. As a Division III student-athlete himself, Allison was a two-time SUNYAC Champion in the pole vault at the State University of New York at Cortland, where he graduated in 1998.
