Mcnutt, was announced as an inductee into the Class of 2025 Northwestern State Hall of Fame. At NSU she coached two All-Region honorees, 24 All-SLC honorees, and 17 SLC All-Tournament honorees.  In the 2025 season, TWU defeated five nationally ranked teams, including two top-10 opponents and a top-5 opponent. McNutt coached two players who were named to the Academic All-District team, Marissa Espinoza and Vivica Hernandez.  In her second year as head coach for TWU, McNutt led the Pioneers to another 25 win season in back to back seasons and a trip back to the LSC Tournament for the first time since 2017. The 23 wins in the LSC under McNutt marked the most wins in conference play in program history for the Pioneers. McNutt coached five Academic All-District honorees in Delaney Boley, Allison Gonzalez, Vivica Hernandez, Makana Morton and Ciana Rodriguez. She also coached Alyssa LeBlanc who closed her career at TWU with the most strikeouts in a career with 523, previously held by Carly Case. McNutt has spent 22 years as a Division I head coach, earning five conference coach of the year awards along the way. McNutt was named Southland Conference Coach of the Year four times during her tenure at Stephen F. Austin (1998, 1999, 2000 and 2004) and was named Conference USA Coach of the Year in 2010 during her tenure at Southern Mississippi. With 628 career wins as a head coach, McNutt joins the Pioneers after spending the last four seasons at outgoing Lone Star Conference member Texas A&M-Commerce, spending the 2022 campaign as the interim head coach. In her lone season at the helm of the Lions program, McNutt led TAMUC to a 43-15 overall record, a 22-8 mark in Lone Star Conference play, and the first Lone Star Conference tournament championship in program history after the Lions swept through the LSC championship. Prior to taking the interim head coach position, McNutt had served the previous two seasons as Associate Head Coach at TAMUC. During her tenure in Commerce, the Lions pitching staff set single-season records for lowest team ERA, lowest opponent batting average, fewest walks allowed, most strikeouts per seven innings and most shutouts. McNutt spent nine seasons as the head coach at Stephen F. Austin, leading the Lumberjacks to five Southland Conference postseason tournaments and the 2008 tournament title – the first in program history. Prior to SFA, McNutt spent seven seasons at Southern Miss, where she captured a pair of Conference USA titles. She remains the program's all-time leader in wins. She began her head coaching career at Northwestern State, spending six seasons and capturing three consecutive Southland Conference championships in her final three seasons. She has led her teams to eight overall conference titles and five NCAA regional championships. McNutt has also served as an assistant coach on the staff at North Texas, Alvin Community College, the University of Houston, and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette (then Southwestern Louisiana), where she received her bachelor of arts in behavioral science. Prior to her coaching career, McNutt was an all-American at Texas A&M, earning induction into the Texas A&M Hall of Fame in 2011. She was a four-year starter behind the plate for the Aggies, earning all-America honors as a senior, and all-region honors all four years. A two-year captain, she helped lead the Aggies to three consecutive national championship games, winning the AIAW Women's College World Series in 1982 and the NCAA Women's College World Series in 1983, finishing as national runner-up in 1984.

Leslie Allen

Head Coach

Allen serves as the second head coach in the history of the TWU STUNT program. She comes in with 25 years total of coaching under her belt and three high school National Championships and eight UCA State Championships. On the collegiate level, she has one National title with Vanguard University, which came in 2021 at the Division III level before moving to Division II in 2025. Most recently, Coach Allen finished fourth nationally in the 2025 season, marking her seventh National appearance in her last eight seasons at Vanguard. She was tasked with the launch of the STUNT program at Vanguard University in Spring 2017 and the program began competing for the first time in the 2018 season where they finished ranked eighth in the country. In 2019, the team earned the program's first berth in the STUNT Division II/III National Championships, finishing fourth overall. Allen began her coaching career at Lutheran High School of Orange County (Calif.), serving as head cheer coach from 2000 to 2012. During that time, she also spent seven years as a Spirit leader. In her final year at Lutheran, she coached St. John's Lutheran Junior High School from 2011 to 2012. More than 75 percent of her senior cheerleaders at Orange Lutheran went on to compete at the collegiate level—three earned athletic scholarships to the University of Oregon. She later served as head varsity cheer coach at Cypress High School in Cypress, Calif., transforming the program into a consistent national finalist at USA Nationals over her three-year tenure. From 2015 to 2017, Allen coached cheer at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where she led the Tigers in their first-ever STUNT competitions. The team went undefeated and finished the season ranked No. 6 nationally in Division II. After jump starting the VU STUNT program, she finished with 26 STUNT All-Americans throughout her years. In 2024, 18 of her STUNT athletes made the Academic Honor Roll. Additionally, Allen has coached 26 STUNT All-Americans. In 2024, 18 of her STUNT athletes made the Academic Honor Roll. A graduate of Baylor University, Allen earned a Bachelor of Education degree. She becomes the second head coach in TWU STUNT program history, following Jasmine Owens. Owens led the program from its inception in 2022 and recently guided the Pioneers to a program-best 14-win season and their second consecutive appearance in the Lone Star Conference Tournament.

Ashlee LeCompte

Assistant Coach

LeCompte joins TWU after a collegiate career at Vanguard University, where she competed on the STUNT team for four seasons. She was part of the 2021 NAIA National Championship team and later served as team captain in her junior year. Over her four-year career, LeCompte helped lead summer camps, participated in national recruiting events, and worked closely with prospective student-athletes through on-mat demonstrations and mentoring. Beyond her athletic achievements, LeCompte brings experience in media, communication, and creative content. She recently completed a communications internship with Vanguard University's marketing department, producing digital content for social media campaigns. She also held a creative role with Furballz Grooming, managing graphics and Instagram engagement. A native of Corona, California, LeCompte has 10 years of cheer experience, two years of high school STUNT, and has competed at the collegiate level throughout the entirety of her college career. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Technology & Emerging Media at Vanguard University in the Spring of 2025.

Selena Reyna

Assistant Coach

Reyna joins TWU after serving as the head coach at Western Texas College since 2023, where she directed all aspects of the program, including recruiting, player development, practice planning, scheduling, travel coordination and fundraising. She coached every position group while helping student-athletes develop the skills needed to continue their careers at four-year institutions. Before her time at Western Texas, Reyna spent the 2022-23 season as head coach at Texas College, where she inherited a rebuilding program and led the Steers to the most wins in program history. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, she assisted the athletic department with administrative operations, managed budgets and coordinated academic support for student-athletes. Reyna began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at San Jacinto College, helping the program capture Region XIV Conference and Region XIV Tournament championships in 2017. She also spent time as an instructor at D-BAT Webster, providing hitting and defensive instruction while mentoring young athletes. As a student-athlete, Reyna enjoyed a standout four-year career at Ball State University. A four-year starter for the Cardinals, she earned Mid-American Conference All-Freshman Team honors, was named MAC West Player of the Week and helped lead Ball State to two MAC regular-season championships, a MAC Tournament title and an NCAA Regional appearance. Reyna earned her bachelor's degree in general studies with an emphasis in sports studies and coaching from Ball State University.
