Colin Cotter

Head Coach

Colin Cotter is entering his fifth season as the head men’s basketball coach at Thomas University in 2026-2027. Since taking over the program, Cotter has guided the team to the school’s first-ever NAIA national tournament appearance. He holds an overall record of 54–61 (.469) at Thomas. During the 2022–23 season, Cotter led Thomas to its best campaign in program history, finishing 18–9 overall and second in the Sun Conference. The Night Hawks advanced to the conference semifinals and earned an at-large berth to the NAIA National Tournament, where they fell in overtime to LSU Shreveport. That season produced multiple all-conference players, including NAIA All-American and First Team All-Sun Conference guard Jordan Booker, First Team All-Sun Conference forward Mohammed Abubakar, Second Team All-Sun Conference guard Tim Williamson, and Second Team All-Sun Conference guard Jarvis Brown. In 2023–24, Cotter guided Thomas through its first year in the Southern States Athletic Conference, securing a tournament win over Faulkner and coaching All-Freshman Team selections Josh Robertson and Tyson Anderson. That season also saw veteran guard Jarvis Brown earn Second Team All-SSAC honors. The following season, 2024–25, the Night Hawks posted a 17–13 record and advanced to the SSAC Tournament quarterfinals. Night Hawks guard Jailin Lee earned Second Team All-SSAC honors. Before taking the reins at Thomas, Cotter built his coaching résumé across the NAIA, NJCAA and NCAA levels. He served as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Reinhardt University and Andrew College, helping both programs achieve conference success. He also gained experience at Clark Atlanta University as a volunteer assistant. Cotter came to the Night Hawks after two seasons as the Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Reinhardt University, where he helped lead the Eagles to a combined 39-19 record. With Cotter, the Eagles finished in the top two in the Appalachian Athletic Conference for the 2020-2021 and the 2021-22 seasons.  Previous to Reinhardt, Cotter was the head assistant men's basketball coach at Andrew (Ga.). With his former teammate, Jamison Williams, Cotter led the Tigers to a 21-10 season – with a conference semifinal appearance – falling just short to eventual conference champion Central Georgia Technical College. In his brief time at Andrew, Cotter helped eight sophomores pursue their basketball careers at a variety of four-year universities, including NCAA Division I. Prior to Andrew, Cotter coached one season at Clark-Atlanta under George Lynch and Melvin Scott. Together, they led the Panthers to a 2019 SIAC semifinal appearance. A Lawrenceville, Georgia native, he was a three-sport varsity athlete at Brookwood High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball.As a player, Cotter spent two years at South Georgia State College (SGSC) in Waycross, Ga., guiding SGSC to a conference championship in 2014-15, before transferring to Valdosta State for one season. Cotter finished his college career playing one year at NCAA DII North Georgia. Cotter earned his Associate of Arts degree from South Georgia State College, a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Valdosta State University, and a Master of Science in Sport Administration and Leadership. Cotter resides in Thomasville, Ga.

Jordan Booker

Head Coach

Jordan Booker was named interim women's basketball coach in March 2025. He was promoted full time head coach in October 2025.  The Powder Springs native helped as a graduate assistant for the 2023-2024 for both the men's and women's basketball teams and worked closely with the women's basketball team as an assistant in the 2024-2025 campaign. Booker helped lead the Night Hawks to their best season since the 2018-2019 with 9 wins.  As a player Booker led Thomas University’s Men’s Basketball to its first NAIA national tournament appearance in the 2022-2023 season. As an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, Booker earned First-Team All-Sun Conference honors, Second-Team All-Sun Conference honors, Sun Conference Champions of Character honors, led the Sun Conference in assists (120), and led the SUN Conference and NAIA in steals (102). In addition, Booker was inducted into the Thomasville Sports Hall of Fame and named the Bill Rainey Male Athlete of the Year in the TU Division. Along with being an all-star athlete, Booker also earned All-Academic Team honors.  In his second season as a Night Hawk, Booker led the Sun Conference in steals, averaging 3.4 a game. As a senior, Booker averaged 10.3 PPG, 6 APG (#10 in NAIA, #2 in SUN Conference), 4 RPG, and 2.8 SPG (#3 in NAIA, #1 in SUN Conference). In his three seasons as a Night Hawk, Booker led TU as their all-time career leader in assists (380), steals (263), and ranks fourth on the Night Hawks’ all-time scoring list (837 career points). As a native of Powder Springs, Georgia, Booker attended Harrison High School. After graduation,  he would commit to Andrew College. While at Andrew College, Booker was recognized as GCAA’s Defensive Player of the Year and recorded the school’s first and only quadruple-double. Booker holds an Associate of Science in Education from Andrew College, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Thomas University, a Master’s in Elementary Education from Thomas University, and a Master's in Business Administration from Thomas University. Booker resides in Thomasville, GA.

Glynn Poindexter

Coach

Glynn Poindexter enters his first season at Thomas University in the 2026-2027 academic year as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach and Head JV Men's Basketball Coach. Prior to joining the Night Hawks, Poindexter gained experience at multiple collegiate programs across the country. He served as a Graduate Assistant for the Florida Memorial University developmental men's basketball program during the 2023-2024 season before joining Wayland Baptist University as a Graduate Assistant for the 2024-2025 campaign. He then spent the 2025-2026 season as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Mobile, continuing to develop his coaching expertise at the collegiate level. A 2022 graduate of Saint Leo University in Tampa, Florida, Poindexter earned a bachelor's degree in Sport Business. During his time at Saint Leo, he spent three seasons as a student assistant with the men's basketball program, where he played an integral role in day-to-day operations. His responsibilities included player skill and individual development, statistical analysis, scout team participation, preparation of scouting reports, practice planning, and coordinating team travel alongside the graduate assistant and assistant coaching staff. Throughout his coaching and student assistant career, Poindexter has been part of several successful programs, including a Sunshine State Conference Championship in 2021, an NCCAA Final Four appearance in 2023, and a Sun Conference Championship in 2024. A native of Arlington, Texas, Poindexter graduated from Bowie High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete competing in both basketball and baseball.
