Rudy Brownell

Head Coach

Brownell, who also holds a 84-39-16 career mark as Head Women's Coach, helped lead the Dragons to their second NCAA Regional appearance and regular season GLIAC Championship in 2014. They also won two consecutive GLIAC Tournament Championships in 2008 and 2009, while also winning for the third time in 2011. In just seven seasons at the helm of the women's program, Brownell made his mark with the Dragons women's soccer program. In 2008, the Dragons women's soccer program earned admission to the NCAA National Tournament after reaching a ranking of 4th in the Midwest Region. The men's squad, meanwhile, was ranked 6th in the region and just missed an at-large berth to the NCAA tourney despite winning the GLIAC postseason championship.      In 2004 the Lady Dragon program posted an 11-6-1 mark while finishing 2nd in the American Mideast Conference and making it to the Region IX final four. In his initial campaign, after losing nine seniors and starting nine new players, he led the 2003 Dragons women's soccer program to an 8-6-6 record, a 3rd place finish in the American Mideast Conference and also finished Runner-up in the Region IX Tournament.   Brownell earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Tiffin University and also obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Tiffin University . He competed as defender for the Dragons from 1992-1995. Brownell also helped the Dragons capture the 1992 & 1995 AMC titles. Tiffin posted a 65-24-3 record during his career. The 1992 team also made it to the NAIA National Tournament.   After graduation, Brownell played professionally for the Cleveland White Caps of the USISL in 1998. He was also assistant coach for the women's and men's soccer programs. He helped the women's soccer program to four American Mideast Conference Championship crowns and to an 84-33-4 overall record. The Dragons went 45-2-1 in the AMC. The team was also ranked nationally from 1998-2000. The women's team advanced to the region final four and also made it to the national tournament in 2000 and 2002. As the assistant coach for the men's soccer program, he helped the team win the American Mideast Conference title in 1999, and take second place in 1996 and 2004. From 1996 to 2004 the team also posted a 116-62-13 overall record and made it to the region Final Four two out of the last three years.   Independents Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year 2007 Finalist-NAIA Coach of the Year 2006 NAIA Region IX Coach of the Year 2006 Logan Langseth is in his first season with Tiffin University's Mens Soccer program. In the 2015 season, Langseth was an assistant coach with the DIII Ohio Athletic Conference Champions Ohio Northern University. Coach Langseth spent a season with the Ohio Extreme Soccer Club, serving as the clubs Director of Goal Keepers and coached several teams. A four-year captain at Pennsylvania State University Berks Campus, Langseth graduated in 2012 with a bachelors degree in Global Studies, Political Science and Contemporary History Option.  He ranks in the top five all-time in career points for mens soccer, while also serving as SAAC president and a student government representative. He has compiled a long list of coaching experience at all age levels.  Langseth began his collegiate coaching career at Division III Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. A Reading United A.C. Academy coach, he led the clubs Super 20s to the nations top regular season record in 2014.  Langseth also worked summer camps for Reading United A.C. Langseth worked for the Philadelphia Union Soccer Schools as a Division Specialist, and was also a Summer Select head coach for the Union. In 2012 and 2013, he was the head girl's varsity coach at Reading High School in Reading, Pennsylvania, advancing a program which he had previously worked at as an intern and volunteer assistant while still in college. While at Reading High school, Langseth helped the Girl's Varsity Program gain its first win in 25 years, earned two 2nd place high school tournament trophies, received in 2012 the highest honor from PIAA Referees with the PIAA Team Sportsmanship Award, and in 2013 was Coach of the Year for Berks County Division I Girl's High School Soccer.   In 2014 Langseth volunteered with the Reading High School Boy's Varsity Team, which won the Berks County Division I League and earned their first berth in the PIAA District and State Tournament. Langseth has also been a camp director for the YMCA soccer camps (ages3-15), and coached girls soccer at Penn Legacy, formerly Hempfield Soccer Club, his childhood club.  Langseth also played for PA Classics, formerly Leeds United FC, one of the nation's top premier soccer clubs. Langseth ran hurdles for one year at Division II Millersville University, before transferring to his alma mater Penn State Berks. Langseth is a Pennsylvania native and attended Hempfield High School in Landisville, Pennsylvania.   Kenny joins the men's soccer program after spending two years as the head women's soccer coach at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio. During his time at Owens, Kenny guided the program to the NJCAA DI Region XII Championship and an NJCAA DI National Tournament birth in 2014. Prior to Owens, Kenny served as the assistant coach for both the men and women's soccer programs at Carson-Newman University for two years. In 2013, Kenny helped guide the men's program to the Southeast Region Title as well as the NCAA DII National Championship game, falling 2-1 to the University of Southern New Hampshire. Kenny played his collegiate soccer at GLIAC rival Ashland University from 2008-2011. While at Ashland, Kenny won three GLIAC regular season championships, one GLIAC tournament championship and three NCAA DII tournament births.
