Noah Moran

Head Coach

Moran comes to Tiffin after spending a year with the Turkish Swimming Federation, where he was the Head Coach of the Ankara High Performance Center. While there he designed a number of training programs for the Ankara High Performance Group and also traveled with the Turkish National Team during international competitions. Prior to that, Moran was an assistant coach at Colgate during the 2013-14 season after serving seven years as the assistant coach at Eastern Michigan University where he worked closely with middle distance women swimmers and was responsible for a large portion of recruiting responsibilities. As assistant coach at EMU, Moran spent much of his time helping to build Eastern Michigan's program. After swimming at the school for five seasons and then serving as a volunteer coach for 10 years in addition to his seven seasons as a full-time assistant coach, Moran watched the program develop and over those years won a total of 12 Mid-American Conference Championships as a swimming and coach. As a swimmer at Eastern Michigan, Moran helped the Eagles to a 32-13 overall record and a 21-3 mark in league meets over the five years. Moran completed his bachelor's degree with a double major in political science and communications in 1997. He also has a J.D. from the University of Detroit-Mercy and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.     Steve Rose enters his third season as an Assistant for the Tiffin University Swimming & Diving team. Prior to Tiffin, Rose spent two years as diving coach at Alma College (MI).  There he helped triple the roster size of the team while aiding in the Scots' best team performances in history. In total, 71 school records were broken and all divers continued to post personal bests throughout each season. Rose graduated from Alma College in 2009 and was a multi-sport athlete through all four years he attended. In diving he posted personal bests in each consecutive year while qualifying for the MIAA Championship finals every year. Rose currently sits in the All-Time Top Ten for the Scots in all four diving categories. He also finished out his senior season by remaining undefeated in dual meets. Rose attended Essexville-Garber High School (MI) where he was also a multi-sport athlete. In diving he achieved All-American status and still holds their 11-dive record. Rose finished out his senior season by winning the ISC Conference and being named All-State. Rose has a B.A. in Psychology from Alma College and a master's degree from Tiffin University.  He resides in Tiffin.
