Four players recruited to Tufts by Coach Mattera have earned NFHCA First Team All-America honors in recent seasons. Emily Cannon, a 2014 graduate, became the third two-time (2012-13) First Team All-American recruited by Mattera, joining Tamara Brown (2009-10) and Margi Scholtes (2008-09). Taylor Dyer was honored in 2010. Lexi Jamison, a 2015 graduate, earned second team All-American honors last fall. Brown was named NESCAC Player of the Year for both 2009 and 2010. She finished her career as Tufts' all-time leading scorer with 78 goals and 26 assists. Dyer was selected as NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2011 and Scholtes won the award in 2009. Tufts has a 63-14 (.818) record in the conference since the 2008 season. NESCAC's Coach of the Year in 2008 and in 2009, Mattera was hired as the sixth coach of Tufts Field Hockey in June 2004. She was the Regional Coaching Director for USA Field Hockey's Futures Program from 2003-06.
