Kelly Harchetts
Head Coach
Harchetts, a coach who has assisted successful Division III programs was named the head coach of the field hockey program in February of 2012. Harchetts is the seventh coach in program history, which began varsity play in 1975. She cames to Union from , where she served as an assistant in 2010 and 2011. In her first season at Union, Harchetts led the Dutchwomen to a six-victory improvement from the previous season. During her tenure at , Harchetts served as the head goalkeeping coach while the Gulls were 34-6 with 15 All-Conference selections and 9 All-Region honorees. She served as an assistant and also an adjunct professor in the Physical Education department at William Paterson from 2005 through the spring of 2010. She was in charge of the strength and conditioning program for the Pioneers. During her time at William Paterson, she also guided the goalies including the conference's Goalie of the Year for two seasons as well as an NCAA First Team All-American goaltender in 2008. Harchetts was employed at Velocity Sports Performance for six years and also served a Sports Performance Internship at Parisi's . A 2005 graduate of , Harchetts was a captain for both the field hockey and softball programs. She played in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association North/South All Star Game and was a two time First Team All-South Atlantic Region selection. She set 11 field hockey school records during her career. On the softball diamond, she was a member of two conference championship teams, and played in the College World Series in 2005. Harchetts was named the 2005 William Paterson University Student-Athlete of the Year and she received the Barone Award Recipient, awarded to the student demonstrating outstanding dedication and effort in athletics. Harchetts is currently completing her Master of Science degree at .

Alicia Aragosa finished her eighth season as an assistant coach with the Union College field hockey team in 2025. Aragosa, along with head coach Kelly Harchetts and assistant coach Katie Rich, were honored as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024 after leading the Garnet Chargers had one of the best seasons in program history, posting a 14-6 record and tying for first place in the Liberty League with a 6-1 mark, the program's highest-ever conference finish. The team's 14 regular-season victories are tied for second-most ever in a season in program history and the six conference wins earned the team a home Liberty League Tournament game for the first time in program history. In addition to the staff's honor, sophomore Maddie Greco was named the program's first-ever Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year to lead four All-Conference selections, the most for the program since 2010 and tied for the second-most ever in a season. In addition, three Garnet Chargers - Greco and juniors Megan Dorsey and Sophie Brady - were named to the NFHCA All-Region teams, with Brady and Greco becoming the first pair of first-team teammates in program history. Aragosa, Harchetts and Rich were tabbed as the Liberty League Co-Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023 after leading Union to an 11-8 record (4-3 Liberty League) and the program's first conference tournament berth since 2010. The team reached the 11-win plateau for the second straight season in 2023, only the third time in program history that has been achieved, while the 11 wins are tied for fourth-most in a season in program history and the squad's four conference victories are tied for the most ever in a regular season. Individually, first-year Maddie Greco was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Year to lead three All-Conference selections, and four different players earned conference Rookie of the Week accolades during the season. Aragosa was a four-year field hockey player at SUNY New Paltz from 2010-13, playing in 67 games and scoring 17 goals with three assists for 37 points. She helped the Hawks to the first two SUNYAC Tournament championships in school history as a junior and senior, and also was a member of the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team in 2011. Off the field, Aragosa was a member of the National College Athlete Honor Society (Chi Alpha Sigma) in 2012 and 2013, a four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad and SUNYAC All-Academic Team honoree, as well as a three-time SUNYAC Commissioner’s list member. Aragosa graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2014 with a bachelor of arts in communication science and disorders. She returned to the Capital Region and graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2016 with a master's of education in speech language pathology. She currently works as a speech language pathologist in Glenville, N.Y.
