Moshers reign in 2012, when the team beat Alberta in the leagues playoff championship match. Then at the CIS mens soccer championship In November 2012, Moshers UBC team beat Cape Breton for the Canadian university title, completing an undefeated season. Moshers all-time record at the nationals is an incredible 19-2 while his regular season record at UBC improved to 136-423-42 after the 2013 season. After finishing second in the Canada West regular season standings in 2011, UBC was poised for another run at the National Championships; unfortunately, the Thunderbirds suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Alberta in the Canada West final and did not advance. The 2010 season was a banner year for the T-Birds, as they collected their third Canada West championship under Moshers direction. The squad then went on to collect a silver medal at the CIS Championship. For his efforts, Mosher was named the Adult Coach of the Year by BC Soccer. A former standout player with the T-Birds, he joined the team as an assistant coach in 1994, under his father Dick, and helped them to a national tite that year. Mosher has also had success on the international coaching stage. He was head coach of the Canadian squad at the 2009 FISU Games in Serbia, Belgrade. He was an assistant coach on the team at 2007 FISU Games in Bangkok when the Canadians lost in a shootout to host Thailand to earn a fourth-place finish, Canadas best ever result. Mosher competed as a T-Bird for five years, during which time he contributed to three national championship runs in 1989, 90 and 91. He was named MVP of the 89 gold medal squad and was also a CIS All-Canadian in 1990. Mosher also played four years with the Canadian Olympic team and spent four seasons in the Canadian Soccer League with Edmonton and Winnipeg. Mosher has won a total of 12 national titles in his playing and coaching career. He has claimed seven at UBC, three as a player and four as a coach, and five more as a player comprised of two senior mens club crowns, one Under-18 national title, and two U-18 all-star triumphs. A UBC physical education graduate, he also completed his masters degree in arts at UBC, specializing in sport management. He and wife, Mary, have three young daughters.
