Kyle Segebart

Head Coach

Kyle Segebart joined the Central Arkansas Men’s Soccer staff as a full-time assistant coach for the 2022 season after spending five seasons at Western Washington University from 2017- 2022. In those 3 years as the full-time staff member, UCA Men’s Soccer has continued to challenge for the ASUN Tournament Championship while playing a top non-conference schedule. The Bears were runners up in both 2022 and 2024 and fell to the 2023 Champions in the semi-final. In three seasons in Conway, Segebart has helped coach 9 All-ASUN and 3 All- ASUN Freshman team players. Following the 2024 season and the retirement of Frank Kohlenstein, Segebart was named the head coach on December 3, 2024. While at Western Washington University (2017-21), Segebart coached numerous All- Conference, All-Region and All-Academic student Athletes. The Vikings also received their first NCAA Division II national ranking, #14, in 2018 and won their first GNAC championship in 2019 (13-5-1 record) and a sixth seed in the Region 4 NCAA Division II Tournament. Prior to his run at WWU, Segebart was an assistant coach at the University of Dayton (2011 and 2015-2017), Saginaw Valley State University (2014-15), Franklin College (2013-14) and Midland University (2010). Between universities, Segebart coached at Ole Football Academy/Island Bay United in Wellington, New Zealand where he helped develop a number of New Zealand Under 20 and New Zealand National team players. Segebart played collegiatly at the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) and at Cedarville University (Ohio) as well as professionally in the USL for the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and Team Wellington in the ASB Premiership in New Zealand. Graduate of Cedarville University with a BS in Sports Management and a minor in Business and Bible. Segebart also holds a United States Soccer Federation A-Senior and United Soccer Coaches GK 2 Coaching Licenses. Currently a staff coach for Arkansas Youth Soccer South Region Olympic Development Program. Born in Winter Haven, Florida, Segebart currently resides in Conway, Arkansas with his wife Danialle, son Henrik, and dog Indiana Jones.

Joe LaCasto

Assistant Coach

LaCasto, a Huntington Beach, California native, joins the Bears’ program following a successful three-year tenure as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at UNC Asheville. During his time at UNC Asheville, LaCasto played a pivotal role in two of the most successful seasons in the program’s Division I history. The Bulldogs qualified for the Big South Conference Championships in back-to-back years—marking a first in the program’s D-1 era. In 2023, Asheville achieved a milestone season, winning 10 matches for the first time in its Division I history. The team also earned a program-record seven All-Conference selections and made its first-ever appearance in the Big South Conference Championship match. LaCasto coached numerous All-Conference and All-Academic student-athletes at UNC Asheville, including the back-to-back Big South Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and a two-time Academic All-American. Prior to his return to UNC Asheville as a coach, LaCasto served as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team at Mars Hill University while earning his Master of Management degree. Over two seasons, he helped guide the program from the bottom of the South Atlantic Conference standings to an appearance in the SAC Championship final in 2021. During his tenure, Mars Hill posted a combined record of 14-9-5. As a player, LaCasto was a standout midfielder at UNC Asheville from 2015–2019. He earned Big South All-Academic honors twice and served as team captain for three of his four years with the Bulldogs.

Travis Crane

Coach

Travis Crane has served many roles since joining the university in 2020. He started as a Graduate Assistant for Career Services (2020-2021) before taking a full-time position as the UCA Athletics Travel Support Analyst (2021-2022). He was in this role for almost two years before joining the men's soccer staff in January 2023. Travis is now the Director of Operations for the Bears. In his time with the program, UCA has reached the ASUN semi-finals in 2023 and finals in 2024. As the Director of Operations, Crane handles the day-to-day operations of the program, executes all travel logistics for the team, arranges all team functions and meals, handles the budget and serves as the primary liaison for the program throughout the athletics department and the entire campus community. He also works closely with Marketing, Compliance, and Facilities. The Shawnee, OK native played two seasons at Mid-America Christian University (2015-2017) before graduating from Central Baptist College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management. He completed his Master of Business Administration in Finance in 2021 at the University of Central Arkansas.
