Beau Theriot

Head Coach

Theriot took over the mens distance program.    In 2012 he started his new role as associate head coach of the UCA XCTF programs.  After Theriots college athletic career he went on to be a talented multi-sport athlete, including three ironman finishes, Arkansas state cycling champion in the MTB, Time Trial, and Road Race in CAT 3, 4, and 5. He also spent some time riding for the Jr. pro team Accelerade. He is a USAT All American and USCF All American.   Coaching the individual not the masses. I do not believe in cookie cutter programs. I want to develop a program based on what will work best for the individual and give the biggest growth potential. I want to mold individuals to be better on the track as well as off.      : - USATF Level I Coffeyville CC, KS - USATF Level II Villanova University; Distance - USATF Level II University of Colorado at Boulder; Sprints, Hurdles, Relays

John Jones

Assistant Coach

Jones and his wife Crystal have three children, Jimmy, Rebecca and Jordan. Respect, balance and responsibility are the three tenants of my coaching philosophy. As a coach you must respect yourself, family, competition, administration, officials, parents and the student-athletes themselves. When an environment of respect is created and fostered, it builds upon itself. All members of the program begin to address and work with each other in a courteous and professional manner striving for mutual success. Improving an athletes performance is an important part of a program but I am also focused on the athletes establishing an important balance within their lives. Achieving team goals is a by- product of team chemistry.    As a coach it is my responsibility to develop the student- athlete. The student-athletes are responsible to themselves and the team. I am responsible to the team and its need to be successful. The best interests of both are always a priority for me.
