University of Dallas Women's Golf

Perkins was hired in January, 2015, as the head coach for the men's and women's golf teams at the University of Dallas. Under Perkins watch at the helm, freshman Chris Eckes broke a school record, shooting a 69 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). Eckes was named All-SCAC Second Team.  Perkins arrived at UD after serving as the Head Women's Golf Coach at University of California Riverside (UC Riverside) where he worked as both an assistant and at the helm for the Highlanders. In August, 2012, Perkins joined the UC Riverside staff as the assistant men's and women's golf coach. A year later, he was promoted to Head Women's Golf Coach. During Perkins first year with the Highlanders, he helped the men's team to three top-3 finishes while the women's program finished in the top-5 in all but two events. Additionally, the women's squad placed fourth at the Big West Conference Championship, which was their highest finish since 2007. Perkins competed professionally from 2002-2004 in both PGA and Nationwide Tour events, as well as multiple mini-tours, including full-time status on the Golden State Tour. In between stops at UC Riverside and University of Dallas, Perkins served as the general manager of Oak Quarry Golf Club in Riverside. Perkins was a three-year captain of the men's golf team at Colfax High School, winning the league championship on two occasions. He was also a CIF tournament runner up, a three-time all-league member, and league MVP in 1995. Perkins attended San Diego State University.
