Ellie Sipe
Head Coach
Ellie Cronin Sipe is in her third year as head coach of Dayton's women's golf program for the 2025-26 season. She helped lead the Flyers to a second-place finish at the inaugural Atlantic 10 Championship in 2025, placing two Flyers on the A-10 All-Conference Team. A three—year letterwinner for the Flyers, Cronin finished her career at UD holding the program's all-time low scoring average of 76.26 after posting the squad's low scoring average each of the three seasons she competed at UD. The two-time All-MAAC Team honoree helped lead the Flyers at the MAAC Championship with top-10 finished in 2018 and 2019. The 2020 conference tournament was canceled due to the global pandemic. Cronin, a 2020 University of Dayton graduate, remained in Dayton after graduation and pursued a marketing career at The Uhl Agency before taking on a strategic account coordinator role at ChemStation in March of 2022.

Sally Kosters
Assistant Coach
Kosters brings more to the team more than just golf. She was a top performer at AT&T, ran her own business, and earned a bachelor's of science degree from Iowa State, a master's degree from Drake University and a MBA from New York University. Off the course Dayton's academic success continued as eight team members were named to the 2014-15 MAAC Honor Roll. Previously that season, six of the 10 members of the women's golf team earned Dean's List honors following the spring 2014 semester. The Flyers posted a 3.505 team grade point average this past spring and continue to be one of UD's top performing teams academically. The 2014-15 season took the UD women's golf team to a new level as Kosters led the team in its inaugural MAAC Championship Tournament where the Flyers finished in 5th place and two team members were named to the 2015 All-MAAC Team. In all of her seasons as head coach at UD, Kosters has proven to be a strong leader for the women's golf team both on and off the course. The 2007-08 season proved to be a memorable one as the Flyers won the Ashland Invitational and the Bellarmine Invitational in the spring and finished in the Top Five in seven events. All six returnees posted career-bests in one of three categories: stroke average, total rounds and overall low round. But the achievements didn't stop on the course. Kosters led the Flyers to two tournament championships, two individual medalists and one of the highest cumulative team grade point averages among all of the Flyer teams in her second full season as a head coach. The Flyers also excelled in the classroom during the 2008 spring semester with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.527 and eight student-athletes on the Dean's List. On the course during the 2006-07 campaign, Kosters helped the Flyers improve its national ranking from 303 in 2006 to 213 at the end of the 2007 spring season. Dayton finished in the Top 10 in seven tournaments with three of the top five golfers in stroke average as freshmen. Academically, the Flyers had the best cumulative grade point average of any UD sport program at 3.57 during the 2007 spring semester. Seven of the 11 players on the squad made the Dean's List both semesters, two golfers reached a 4.0 grade point average and no Flyer had a GPA below a 3.0. In addition, Kosters coached Melissa Gaus, UD's 2006-07 NCAA Woman of the Year and an Honorable Mention for the Wooden Citizenship Award, which includes nominations from colleges and universities all over the country. Kosters continues to draw new coaching ideas from participation in programs such as the renowned LPGA "Coaching Future Stars" seminars conducted by Pia Nilsson -- Annika Sorenstam's coach of 17 years, Rudy Duran -- Tiger Woods' youth coach, along with acclaimed sport psychologists and golf kinesiologists. In pursuit of her golf career, Coach Kosters played extensively and took lessons from a large variety of instructors across the US, Australia, and New Zealand. Prior to her golf career, Kosters worked 12 years for AT&T, designing and managing new products and had a $6 billion P&L responsibility. She was a member and served on the board of the "Council of Leaders," AT&T's top two percent in performance. For 10 years she successfully owned and operated a start-up business, "The Oldwick Spa," one of the earliest businesses of its kind on the East Coast. She started her work life as a rehabilitation counselor at The Iowa Women's Reformatory. Familiar with the world of academics, Kosters earned an MBA from New York University, an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from Drake University, and a BS in Psychology from Iowa State University. She lives with her husband in Centerville, Ohio.
