Lisa Klingshirn
Associate Head Coach
Klingshirn is entering her fourth year as the head coach of the Oilers men and women's cross country teams during the 2016 campaign. She also serves as the associate head coach for the UF men and women's track and field teams, a position she has held for 27 years. Klingshirn had previously served as an assistant for the cross country programs for 20 years before taking over the head coach role. Klingshirns athletes currently own 19-of-23 school records in the distance events in indoor and outdoor track & field. Her cross country teams have also been regionally and nationally ranked including a womens team that qualified for the 2006 NCAA II national championships. Her mens 4x800m relay captured the NAIA national championships in 1998 and the women followed suit in 2000. Klingshirn was named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Assistant Coach of the Year for the Great Lakes Region in 2007. Administratively, Klingshirn is vital to the success of the many home indoor competitions hosted in the Malcolm Athletic Center on an annual basis. Klingshirns efforts have resulted in efficient and timely-run meets whether a large open meet or a championship-caliber competition Klingshirn is a member of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. She currently serves as secretary on the NCAA Division II Cross Country Executive Committee and is a member of the Awards Committee. She previously served as the cross country GLIAC conference representative for three years. She is also a member of USA Track & Field (USATF). Klingshirn is also an Instructor in the College of Health Professions at The University of Findlay. She is also a member of the universitys athletic Hall of Fame committee. Klingshirn previously served as the Senior Woman Administrator in the athletic department (1996-1999) and was UFs head volleyball coach for two seasons (1991-1992). A native of northwestern Ohio, Klingshirn attended Holgate High School where she was a two-time state qualifier in track & field. She graduated from Malone College in 1987 with a degree in physical education and biology. During the 1987-88 school year, she was voted the Malone College Outstanding Physical Education student. As an athlete, Klingshirn earned NAIA All-American honors in cross country and was an Academic All-American in cross country and track & field. Klingshirn earned her masters degree in exercise physiology from the University of South Carolina where she was a graduate assistant in the department of exercise science.

Marc Arce
Coach
Arce has coached his athletes to a total of 13 individual national championships and has seen a whopping 165 student-athletes earn NCAA DII All-American accolades. He has also coached his athletes to 157 GLIAC championships and seen 23 of them earn GLIAC MVP honors. An additional 12 athletes have earned GLIAC Freshman of the Year honors while another 12 athletes have captured Regional Athlete of the Year accolades. Arce has been named the GLIAC Coach of the Year seven times during his illustrious career. He has earned the honor three times during the mens indoor season (1999, 2004, 2012) and three more times as well during the mens outdoor campaign (1999, 2004, 2006). He also picked up the honor during the 2008 indoor track season on the womens side. In 2015-16, Arce coached the women's team to its highest team finish ever in an outdoor season. The group combined for 35 points to reach a sixth place finish in the NCAA DII Outdoor National Championship after being ranked in the top-10 in the country for the majority of the year. The 2014-15 indoor/outdoor seasons for the Oilers track team will go down as the most successful in school history at the NCAA Division II level. The men's indoor team finished second at the national meet, five points shy of first place Adams State. The men's team then secured another runner-up placing at the outdoor championship, finishing only three points short of St. Augustine's. Arce, who coached the Oilers men's and women's cross country teams for 25 years until stepping down in 2013, saw his women's cross country team place second at the 2006 GLIAC Championship and third at regionals to advance to the national championships for the first time in school history. Before moving to the NCAA Division II level, Arce was named the Mid-Ohio Conference Coach of the Year for the women in 1995 and 1997 and for the men in 1996. Going along with his success, Arce received NAIA District 22 Coach of the Year honors for women's cross country (1990, 1991), women's track and field (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994), and men's track and field (1992, 1994). In the NAIA days, Arce led his athletes to 66 Mid-Ohio Conference championships and 66 NAIA District 22 championships. His athletes also accumulated a total of 15 national titles at the NAIA level as well. Since his arrival at Findlay, Arce's athletes have won 132 GLIAC championships, 66 MOC championships and 66 NAIA District 22 championships. His athletes also accumulated 12 national championships and 145 All-American honors from the NAIA as well. Administratively, Arce was the MOC chairman for track and field and has also chaired the NAIA National Rating Committee for Women's Cross Country (1992), and has served as the NAIA District 22 chairman for cross country (1990-92) and track and field (1990-92, 1993-94). Arce, a native of Valley Stream, New York, had a very distinguished career at Valley Stream Central High School on Long Island, New York. Arce's later running accomplishments include completing both the New York and Boston Marathons in 2:38 and 2:47 respectively. He received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University in physical education, while participating in track and field. He later went on to earn a master's degree from Indiana State University. Arce started his coaching career in the Indiana high school ranks. In his nine years of coaching at the high school level, his teams were 107-32 in dual meet competitions. He is a member of USA Track and Field, the governing body of track and field in the United States and the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). He has also been a guest speaker at numerous track and cross country clinics in both Ohio and Indiana.
