Holloway a World Away from Humble Start () Gator Pride: Mike Holloway Took Long Road to Build a Championship Program at Florida () ------------------------------------------ Florida head coach , who was named the first head coach of the combined mens and womens track & field program on June 19, 2007, has directed clear course for the University of Floridas success both on and off the track, molding it into one the nations elite for the past 21 seasons.   In addition to the six NCAA Championships that Holloway and the Florida mens team has won since 2010more than any other Division I program during that spanthe Gators boast 11 runner-up finishes at the NCAA Championships during his tenure as head coach.   Moreover, Florida has finished in the top three at 15 of the last 16 NCAA Championships, including its current run of eight in a row outdoorstied for the fourth-longest streak in Division I history.   Prior to the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships, the Gators were just the third team in Division I history to record top-three finishes at both the NCAA Indoor Championships and NCAA Outdoor Championships seven consecutive times, joining Arkansas (1992-2000) and UTEP (1975-82) as the only other programs to do so. UFs run of seven consecutive top-three finishes at NCAA Indoor Championships from 2009-15 was the third-longest streak in Division I history.   In the current mens NCAA Championship sprints (60m, 100m, 200m, 400m), hurdles (60mH, 110mH, 400mH) and sprint relay events (4x100, 4x400)all of which are Holloways primary focusFlorida boasts astonishing numbers going all the way back 1996, his first year as a mens assistant coach for the Gators:   On the womens side, with five individual national titles in the last three seasons, the Gators have become a consistent contender at the NCAA Championships, recording five top-four finishes during the Holloway era.   At the conference level, Floridas women have finished fourth or higher at 15 of the 18 SEC Championshipswinning four titleswith Holloway as head coach.   Heres a deeper breakdown of Floridas championships and All-American honors earned on Holloways watch:             Along with his collegiate achievements, Holloway has enjoyed a great amount of success internationally. As the mens head coach of the United States 2013 World Championships Team, Americans claimed 14 medalsfour gold, eight silver, two bronze. At the 2012 Olympics, Holloway coached Team USAs sprinters and relay teams, helping the 4x400 relay squad win the silver medal and Justin Gatlin nab a bronze medal in the 100 meters.   Every United States Olympic team since 1992 has featured at least one athlete coached by Holloway, with six of them going on to combine for nine medals. Most recently, at the 2016 Olympics, Holloway trained Gator Greats Kerron Clement (400 hurdles) and Arman Hall (4x400 relay), as well as George Mason alum and adidas David Verburg (4x400 relay) to gold medals. Verburg also reached the semifinals of the open 400 meters.   In addition to his head coaching experience at the 2013 IAAF World Championships, Holloway has had an athlete compete at every World Championships since 2001. Five of those athletes went on to become world champions. The most recent World Championships, held in 2015 in Beijing, featured nine former Gators.             Holloway, a native of Columbus, Ohio, is married to the former Angela Fitts. They have a daughter, Michele, a son, Michael II (MJ), and four grandchildren. Holloway earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Florida in 2000. Mann will assist with the coaching and development of the Gators hurdlers and sprinters. A five-time United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American hurdler and sprinter for Florida, Mann returns to Gainesville after spending a combined eight seasons coaching at LSU, Clemson, and, most recently, Miami (Fla.). Mann coached sprinters and hurdlers at each of his previous stops. Mann holds a Level II coaching certification from United States Track & Field. As a Gator, Mann earned consecutive All-America accolades in the 400-meter hurdles at the 1999 and 2000 NCAA Outdoor Championships. He also helped Floridas 4x400-meter relay earn top-six finishes at the 1998 NCAA Outdoor Championships as well as the 1998 and 2000 NCAA Indoor Championships. Additionally, the 1998 indoor 4x400-meter relay team Mann raced on won an SEC title. Following a fifth-place finish at the 2000 NCAA Outdoor Championships, Mann competed in the 400-meter hurdles at the United States Olympic Trials. Manns collegiate personal record in the 400-meter hurdles (49.68) is currently the No. 7-ranked time on Floridas outdoor all-time top 10.     Manns Coaching Highlights (Pre-University of Florida) In his first eight seasons in the coaching ranks, Mann helped sprinters and hurdlers amass 17 individual national championships, 144 USTFCCCA All-America accolades, and 56 individual conference titles.   The majority of those achievements were during his time under Dennis Shaver at LSU, which saw its women win NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2008 and 2012, along with six SEC Championships. On the mens side, the Tigers earned runner-up finishes at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2008 and 2012, and finished in the top four of all but two SEC Championships meets.       Mann has been privileged to gain insight and experience during from tremendous head coaches, contributing to multiple record-breaking performances at the NCAA, SEC, and ACC Championships meets at his previous stops.   Notable Achievements at Clemson Under Head Coach Lawrence Johnson, Associate Head Coach Tim Hall Clemsons Brianna Rollins, the 2013 IAAF World Championships gold medalist in the 100-meter hurdles, clocked the two fastest times in collegiate history in both the 60- and 100-meter hurdles during Manns time as a Tiger. Rollins also set NCAA Championships meet records in those events en route to winning two individual national titles in 2013.   Notable Achievements at LSU Under Head Coach Dennis Shaver     Coaching History Personal Mann graduated from Florida in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in computer science. Prior to his collegiate career with the Gators, Mann was a three-time state champion in the 300-meter hurdles at Wolfson (Fla.) High School. Manns efforts also helped Wolfson win the 1996 state championship. The Jacksonville, Fla. native is married to Melissa de Leon, a three-time All-American who boasts the No. 5-ranked indoor 800 meters time and No. 7-ranked outdoor 800 meters time on Floridas all-time top 10 lists. She also holds Trinidad & Tobagos national record in the 800 meters. The couple have twin daughters, Adoria and Queen.

Lemkes tutelage. Floridas decathlon, heptathlon and pentathlon competitors have benefitted as well, amassing 11 All-America laurels in his time with the program. At the conference level, Florida has been far and away the top throwing program during Lemkes time in Gainesville The Gators have claimed 28 SEC throwing titles since 2006, with Lemke coaching athletes to all but three of those crowns. Heres a closer look at the Gators throwing accolades at the SEC Championships and how they compare against the rest of the league during the 2010 USTFCCCA South Region Womens Outdoor Assistant Coach of the Years tenure: All of the aforementioned national and conference achievements have been a major reason for Floridas team success over the last decade: Lemke has coached eight Olympians, with that contingent combining for 13 total Olympics appearances since the 1996 Olympic Games. The group is headlined by pole vault gold medalist Nick Hysong, whom Lemke trained at Arizona State University. In addition to his success at the collegiate level, Lemke has coached at three Summer Olympics, three IAAF World Championships, the IAAF World Indoor Championships and the Commonwealth Games. Under Lemkes guidance, Norways Trine Hattestad claimed gold in the javelin throw at the 1997 World Championships, while Australias Justin Anlezark nabbed gold in the shot put at the 2002 Commonwealth Gameswhich was one of five total medals the Aussies collected at the competition. Lemkes throwing athletes have amassed 13 NCAA Division I National Championships in his 20 seasons as a collegiate coach. Lemkes star pupil was former Gator Mariam Kevkhishvili, a five-time NCAA Champion in the shot put, and one of three women in Division I history to win back-to-back shot put national titles at the NCAA Indoor and NCAA Outdoor Championships. Lemke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from South Dakota State Universitywhere he was an All-American javelin throwerin 1983. The Fargo, N.D. native has a 15-year-old son, Niklas.
