University of Providence Women's Soccer

Lindsay Smith was named the Head Coach of the women's soccer program in January of 2025 after serving as an assistant coach for the previous three seasons. Smith joined the program after serving as the technical director of the Montana Rush Soccer Club for eight years. Lindsay is also a U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Scout.  Smith spent twelve years coaching high school serving as the head coach at Charles M. Russell High School (1997-02) and Great Falls High School (2010-16). In between, Smith coached at Humboldt State University while completing her master's degree.  Lindsay is currently a member of the coaching staff for the Western Region Olympic Development Program and has been since 2021. She has also been on the Rush Select National Coaching Staff since 2016 giving her the opportunity to coach internationally against elite clubs including Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Olympic Lyon, and Inter Milan’s academy teams.    Additionally, Smith served four years as the director of the Montana Olympic Development program for Montana Youth Soccer and holds a USSF National B License.

Kate was hired as the Assistant Coach for the women's soccer program in the spring of 2025 after being a volunteer assistant coach for the last two seasons.  Kate played at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan, Utah, for the Grizzlies and in college played soccer for five seasons for the Argos and graduated with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Prior to UP she coached soccer and for six years and is currently coaching for Montana Rush Soccer. At UP, Kate works closely with the goaltenders as goalie was one of the many positions she played in her time as an Argo. Kate holds a USSF “C” license for coaching.
