Scotty Fletcher was named the 11th head coach of ULM Women's Basketball on March 28, 2025. Fletcher comes to ULM after leading Pearl River to a historic 25-3 record, the fewest losses recorded in program history for a single season. Named the MACCC Coach of the Year for two consecutive years, he has led Pearl River to four-straight 20-win seasons and three MACCC regular season championships in his 10 years at the helm. In 2024, Fletcher led the Wildcats to their first at-large bid to the NJCAA National Tournament since 2003. Prior to his time at Pearl River, Fletcher held two separate stints at William Carey University from 2008-09 and from 2011-15 as the assistant men's basketball coach. While at William Carey, Fletcher guided the Crusaders from a last-place finish in the Southern States Athletic Conference to a perfect 21-0 in conference play in 2014, the best season in program history. William Carey posted a 74-20 record across four seasons and captured a trio of SSAC regular season championships, including a SSAC Tournament title in 2014 during Fletcher's tenure as an assistant. As a recruiter, Fletcher signed seven players who were named All-SSAC and four who were selected as NAIA All-Americans. In addition to his coaching duties, he managed the team's budget and spearheaded fundraising campaigns, as well as oversaw the recruiting efforts during his time with the Crusaders. In 2009, Fletcher accepted a position as an assistant men's basketball coach at Jacksonville State University, helping send the Gamecocks to their first Ohio Valley Conference Tournament appearance in five seasons. During his two seasons at Jacksonville State, he was the youngest assistant in the OVC and one of the youngest recruiters in Division I basketball. In his first season as an assistant at William Carey from 2008-09, Fletcher helped the Crusaders earn their first-ever win over a Division I program. Fletcher began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Ole Miss in 2007 under head coach Andy Kennedy. In the 2007-08 season, he helped guide the Rebels to a 24-11 record and a Final Four run in the NIT. As a player, Fletcher started his collegiate career at Pearl River and helped the Wildcats claim the 2002-03 state championship under head coach Richard Mathis. He went on to play his final two seasons at William Carey from 2005-07, averaging 9.4 points per game and leading the team with 66 triples. Fletcher finished his playing career with 118 three-pointers, the fifth-most made by a Crusader, and a 38.9 three-point percentage. Fletcher holds a bachelor's degree in physical education and recreation from William Carey, graduating in 2007. He then went on to complete a master's degree in education at William Carey in 2009. Brady Cox
Assistant Coach
Brady Cox joined the ULM baseball coaching staff before the 2026 season as the team's pitching coach, announced by Ford Pemberton on June 24, 2025. Cox arrives in Monroe after serving as the pitching coach at Little Rock for three seasons, culminating in the Trojans' remarkable postseason run in the 2025 Baton Rouge Regional Final. "I am very excited to add Brady Cox as our pitching coach," said Pemberton. "Brady has recruited and developed at a very high level, has led pitching staffs to championships and coached well in the NCAA postseason. He was very well respected as a player at both the Division I and professional level. This is exactly the type of person and coach I want around our players, and I am ready to see Brady and our pitchers establish the identity we want on the mound." During his three seasons overseeing the pitching staff at Little Rock, Cox developed two pitchers voted Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year – Jackson Wells (2023) and Jacob Weatherley (2024). "I couldn't be more excited and am thankful to join the staff at ULM," said Cox. "I played and began my coaching career in the Sun Belt Conference, so it is awesome to be back in the strong league. I believe in Coach Pemberton's vision and am ready to work with the players and the great people on campus and in the Monroe community." Cox was on the coaching staff that helped guide the Trojans to a magical 2025 season. After upsetting nationally ranked Ole Miss in April, Little Rock won five straight games at the OVC Tournament and captured the program's first tournament title and second-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Little Rock reached the Baton Rouge Regional Final after wins versus Rhode Island and Dallas Baptist before handing the eventual national champion LSU its only loss of the postseason. Wells led the OVC and ranked inside the national top 50 with 97 strikeouts and the Trojans' pitching staff fired the OVC's third-highest strikeouts per nine innings rate (8.0). In 2024, Cox mentored an OVC Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive season after Weatherley led the league in ERA (2.85), saves (9) and strikeouts per nine innings (11.25). Weatherley made 23 appearances out of the bullpen and ranked third in the OVC opponent batting average (.241) and fired 12 scoreless appearances. The Trojans won 32 games, the highest in school history, and claimed the OVC Regular Season title. In addition to being named the 2023 OVC Pitcher of the Year, Wells also claimed All-America recognition from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), becoming the sixth player in school history to be named an All-American. Wells' earned run average of 1.65 during his 2023 season was the lowest out of any pitcher in the nation and was the first Little Rock pitcher to be named a statistical champion. He also led the OVC in several statistical categories including complete games (2), hits allowed per nine innings (7.06) and walks/hits per innings pitched [WHIP] (1.13) while also ranking second in games started (15) and wins (7). The Trojans also reached the 30-win mark for the first time since 2003. Before his time at Little Rock, Cox was the pitching coach at his alma mater, UT Arlington, from 2021-22. During the 2021 season, Cox helped lead the Mavericks to a second-place finish in the Sun Belt Conference West Division before reaching the conference tournament semifinals. Cox's pitching staff struck out 485 batters, a program record, while only walking 188, the fewest in the league. He coached All-Sun Belt First Team pitcher Carlos Tavera, who tallied 117 strikeouts. Tavera was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fifth round of the 2021 MLB Draft and is currently playing for the Norfolk Tides, the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate. Prior to his coaching career, Cox was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 36th round of the 2017 MLB Draft and spent three seasons in the Royals' organization. He recorded 141 at-bats, finishing with three home runs and 18 RBI with an on-base percentage of .347 in his minor league career for the Arizona League Royals and Idaho Falls Chukars. Cox made the transition to the mound during his final season with the Chukars and appeared in 18 games, finishing with a 3.72 ERA and a 2.9 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Cox was a standout catcher at UTA from 2014-17 and led the Mavericks in batting average (.365), hits (81) and on-base percentage (.427) his junior season. In the same season, he was named a finalist for the Johnny Bench Award, given to the nation's top catcher, and was also a First Team All-Sun Belt selection. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Cox received his bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from UTA in 2017. He is married to Madison and the couple has a daughter, Callie.

Henri Lartigue
Assistant Coach
Henri Lartigue was added to the ULM baseball coaching staff as the team's hitting coach before the 2026 season. "Henri is going to be a tremendous addition to our program, and I could not be happier for our players," said Pemberton. "He has reached the pinnacle of college baseball in winning a national championship and has recently won back-to-back conference championships at ECU with two entirely different clubs. He is smart, loyal, and professional. He will be a great fit for our hitters." Lartigue was the hitting coach at East Carolina University for two seasons where he helped the Pirates capture a pair of American Athletic Conference championships. "My family and I are incredibly grateful to Coach Pemberton for the opportunity to join the ULM baseball family," said Lartigue. "It is an exciting time for the program, and I am honored to help shape the next generation of Warhawks. Monroe is a passionate community with a deep love for baseball, and we're looking forward to becoming a part of it. I can't wait to get to work and contribute to the winning culture being built here at ULM." The Pirates ran the table, winning four consecutive games at the American Athletic Conference Championship, and punched their ticket to the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Lartigue's offense generated six or more runs in each game to secure the title. ECU advanced to the NCAA Conway Regional Final following two separate wins over No. 17 Florida. The Pirate offense ranked second in the American Athletic Conference in total hits (572), third in home runs (73) and fourth in doubles (91). Three of Lartigue's hitters garnered All-American Athletic Conference postseason accolades, including All-AAC First Team selection Colby Wallace. All-AAC Freshman outfielder Braden Burress led the AAC during the regular season in batting average (.385) and was second in on base percentage (.491), fifth in hits (67) and tied for sixth in runs scored (47). ECU's offense excelled under Lartigue's leadership in 2024 as the Pirates ranked among the national statistical leaders top 30 in five different categories. The Pirates were eighth in hits (671), 15th in sacrifice bunts (46), 16th in sacrifice flies (35), 20th in runs scored (498) and 24th in batting average (.309). Individually, Jacob Jenkins-Cowart was 10th in RBI (79) and 33rd in RBI per game (1.25) while Carter Cunningham placed 17th in runs scored (77) and Riley Johnson was 19th in runs scored (75) and triples (5). With Lartigue's assistance, East Carolina captured its fifth consecutive American Athletic Conference title and Cunningham was tabbed the league's Player of the Year. ECU paced the conference statistically in batting average, slugging percentage (.485), on base percentage (.399), runs scored, hits, RBI (464) and total bases (1,055). Before his time at ECU, Lartigue served as a volunteer assistant coach at Arkansas State where he mentored the Red Wolves' catchers while also assisting with hitting and other operations during the 2023 season. Lartigue spent the 2022 season as a student assistant at Ole Miss, helping the Rebels capture the first national title in program history with two wins over Oklahoma in the national championship series. Lettering for 2022 National Coach of the Year Mike Bianco from 2014-2016, Lartigue was one of the nation's top catchers in his final year in Oxford. He was a semifinalist for the Johnny Bench Award, awarded to the best catcher in college baseball, while also being a First Team All-SEC honoree and SEC All-Tournament team member. The switch hitter led all SEC catchers in hitting with a team-best .353 clip, including a stellar .371 mark in league play. Lartigue was also a standout in the classroom, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team recognition and was a three-time selection to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. Following his collegiate career, the Southaven, Miss., native spent six seasons in professional baseball after the Philadelphia Phillies selected him with the first pick of the seventh round in the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft. Lartigue is married to Madison, and the couple has two daughters: Scottie and Stella.
