Cook returned to her alma mater in 2012 to take the helm of the Marauders womens soccer program. After claiming two state high school championships, Cook is in her fourth season as head coach of the Marauders. As a former womens soccer player and an assistant coach at the University of Mary, I take a lot of pride in this program, said Cook. On the field our team will be disciplined, defensive-minded and organized, and will go after teams athletically. We will also continue our players community awareness and involvement.   Cook is just the fifth womens soccer head coach at U-Mary since the program started in 1995. The Marauders have posted 16 winning seasons in 20 years.   In her first season as the Marauders head coach, the Marauders continued their winning ways, finishing 10-8 overall and 10-5 in the Northern Sun. U-Mary ran off six straight wins to close the regular season and captured fifth overall in the NSIC and qualify for the league postseason tournament. The Marauders have advanced to the conference tournament every year since joining the NSIC in 2006. Several players won honors in 2012. Earning All-NSIC honors was Michelle Jones (1st team), Alex Bachman-Williams (2nd) and Ashley Akers (honorable mention). Jones and Bachman-Williams also were second team NSCAA all-region selections and Bachman-Williams also earned Daktronics all-region second team honors. In 2013, Bachman-Williams again earned All-NSIC second team honors and goalkeeper Shelby Buttron was an honorable mention selection. Both also received NSIC Player of the Week recognition during the season. Academically, ten Marauders claimed NSIC all-academic honors in 2013 after six were selected in 2012. Two Marauders, Michelle McGeary (2nd team) and Andrea Muller (3rd team) earned All-NSIC honors in 2014. Buttron was named Goalkeeper of the Week the final weekend of the season. An impressive nine Marauders received NSIC all-academic recognition. An assistant coach for the Marauders for three seasons (2009-2011), Cook helped the Marauders maintain their status as one of the top teams in the Northern Sun. U-Mary finished in the top five and posted a winning record and advanced to the NSIC tournament each year she was on the bench as the teams top assistant.   In her first five years as head coach at Century High School in Bismarck, N.D., Cook directed the Patriots to state championships in 2007 and 2011. CHS also won four regional titles (2007-08, 2010-11). She coached the team from 2007 through 2012.   The winner of several coaching honors, Cook earned the US Youth Soccer Girls National Competitive Coach of the Year, Region II Girls Competitive Coach of the Year and the North Dakota Girls Competitive Coach of the Year honors in 2010.   A three-time All-American and three-time team captain at U-Mary when she was known as Sarah McNulty, she led the Marauders to NAIA national tournament appearances and Region III championships in 2002-04. A third-team All-American selection and the Region III Player of the Year in 2003, Cook earned honorable mention All-American honors in 2002 and 2004. She was U-Marys team captain and a first team All-Region selection in 2002-04. In her four seasons Cook recorded 35 assists, second all-time at U-Mary. Including 11 goals, she registered 57 points, 11th all-time for the Marauders.   Cook is twice a University of Mary graduate, earning a secondary education degree in biology (05) and a master's degree in Kinesiology - Sports and Physical Education Administration (15). The Region II Olympic Development Program Girl's Soccer head coach for 2003 girls, she has earned both a USSF A License and Goalkeeping License. Sarah is married to Mary men's head soccer coach Dave Cook and the couple have a daughter named Emma. Logan Christensen

Associate Head Coach

Logan Christensen, a native of Minot, ND joined the UMary Women’s Soccer Staff as the Assistant Coach in August of 2018 and was promoted to Associate head Coach in January 2025. The native of Minot, ND, and former Marauders men’s soccer scholar-athlete joined the UMary women’s soccer coaching staff in 2018 as a graduate assistant before becoming the program’s first full-time assistant in 2022. During Christensen’s coaching tenure at UMary, the Marauders own a winning record each season in Northern Sun play and have yet to post a losing mark in any year.   Over the last seven seasons with Christensen on the coach staff, UMary owns an overall record of 61-38-20 with a Northern Sun mark of 46-27-15. In the last two years the Marauders advanced to the NSIC tournament championship in 2023 and the conference semifinals in 2024.   Christensen has long ties to the Marauders soccer community. He competed for the Marauders men’s soccer team from 2010-15 under the direction of head coach Dave Cook. His sister Emily played for the Marauders (2012-15). In 2015 Christensen earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing before receiving his M.S. in Physical Education and Sports Administration in 2020, both from the University of Mary.   Owning strong connections to youth soccer in North Dakota, Christensen has coached a variety of levels and programs, from coaching the Magic Soccer F.C. to serving as the head girl’s soccer coach at Bismarck Legacy High School with involvement in the Boy’s and Girl’s programs for Dakota ODP (Olympic Development Program) and regionally for Midwest ODP. Logan holds a USSF (United States Soccer Federation) “B” License, United Soccer Coaches Association National Diploma, United Soccer Coaches Association Advanced National Diploma, and a United Soccer Association Level 1 Goalkeeper License. Logan and his wife, Carrie, have one son, Milo.
