Drew Kelleher
Head Coach
Drew Kelleher enters his third year as head coach of the UMass Lowell men's lacrosse program, after taking the helm in June of 2022. Kelleher becomes the second head coach of the River Hawks since the program’s reinstatement in 2015. Most recently, Kelleher spent the last seven seasons as the head men’s lacrosse coach at Manhattan College, where he guided the program to its first-ever MAAC Championship since 2002 in 2022 and its second-ever NCAA Tournament run. As head coach at Manhattan, Kelleher handled student-athlete development, fundraising, recruiting and academic support for the team. During his tenure, the Jaspers developed into an MAAC powerhouse, accumulating countless All-Conference award winners, as well as posting the nation’s best man-down defense in 2019. Manhattan earned a share of the 2021 Regular Season Champion title under Kelleher’s tutelage, and for his efforts, he was named the 2021 MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Coach of the Year. Before Manhattan, Kelleher worked as an assistant coach for the Boston University men’s lacrosse program from 2012 to 2015. Kelleher served as the offensive coordinator for the Terriers and assisted in recruiting the program’s inaugural Division I team. Kelleher’s coaching career started with stops at Siena College and Hamilton College. At Hamilton, Kelleher served as the assistant coach and offensive coordinator for the Continentals for two seasons. After honing his craft, Kelleher transitioned into an assistant coaching position at Siena College. Responsible for offensive strategies and recruiting, Kelleher helped guide the Saints to a 2012 MAAC Regular Season Champion title as well as the third-best assist per game and fourth-best goals per game average in the nation. Kelleher was an offensive powerhouse for Vermont as a player. In his final season with the Catamounts, Kelleher was voted the America East Fan’s Choice Player of the Year, the team’s Most Valuable Player and ranked 11th in Division I in goals per game. He graduated from Vermont in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education with concentrations in movement and exercise science.

George Diantgikis
Assistant Coach
With the 2026 season right around the corner, UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Drew Kelleher has announced the addition of George Diantgikis to round out his coaching staff. Diantgikis has six years of experience coaching at the collegiate level, most recently serving as the defensive coordinator for Bentley University from 2021 to this year. While there, Diantgikis helped lead the Falcons to three NCAA tournaments and their first conference championship game in 14 years. As the defensive coordinator, he helped organize the defensive strategy and implemented different defensive sets, while also developing scouts and matchups. Off the field, he also played a key role in handling alumni relations, including setting up alumni events throughout the season. Prior to his time at Bentley, Diantgikis started his collegiate coaching career at Wentworth Institute of Technology, serving as the defensive coordinator for the Division III lacrosse program. Alongside organizing the defensive strategy, he also assisted in all aspects of lacrosse operations and assisted in the team's recruiting. Before coaching at the collegiate level, got his start in the field serving as an Assistant Boys' Lacrosse Coach at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. Since then, he has also coached for Four Leaf Lacrosse and was an Assistant Coach for the Greek National Men's Lacrosse Team from 2023 to 2025. Diantgikis graduated from Dowling College in 2011 with his bachelor's in Business Management and Leadership.

Connor Samuelson
Assistant Coach
Connor Samuelson was named assistant coach for the UMass Lowell men’s lacrosse team in August 2022 after five seasons with Williams College. An experienced defenseman, Samuelson brings his expertise to the River Hawks as the team’s defensive coordinator. As the primary assistant for the Ephs, Samuelson served as the team’s goalie coach and oversaw all recruiting for defensive players. A finalist for the 2019 Mike Clear DIII Assistant Coach of the Year, Samuelson played a critical role in leading the Ephs to the NESCAC Finals in 2019 and 2021 as well as the team’s first Final Four appearance in 2019. Under his tutelage, the Ephs saw six USILA All-Americas, six All NESCAC selections, three All IMLCA honorees and six NEILA selections. Samuelson kicked off his coaching career with the Hartford men’s lacrosse team in 2016, serving as a volunteer assistant coach. With the Hawks, Samuelson assisted the coaching staff in developing its defensive core and goalies, organized scouting reports, created off-season conditioning plans and coordinated team travel. As a player, Samuelson was a decorated defenseman for the Springfield College men’s lacrosse team. A captain and four-year starter, Samuelson was a key contributor to the Pride’s four tournament appearances and four NEWMAC titles. During his time with the Pride, Samuelson earned All-New England, All IMLCA North Region and All-ECAC honors. He was also a two-time All-NEWMAC First Team selection and represented the Pride at the 75th Nike USILA North/South All-Star Game and NEILA East/West All-Star Game. Samuelson earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology with a concentration in coaching and business from Springfield in 2016. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in organizational leadership from the University of Denver.

Brett Tenaglia
Assistant Coach
Brett Tenaglia was named assistant coach for the UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team in August of 2025 . Tenaglia, who has over four years of experience coaching across the high school and collegiate levels, joins the River Hawks after spending the last season as the offensive coordinator at Western Connecticut State University. While at Western Connecticut State, Tenaglia was responsible for developing and implementing high-performance offensive strategies while spearheading the design of dynamic playbooks that emphasized fast-paced, aggressive offense while promoting teamwork and individual skill development. Through this, while also fostering a culture of disciplined execution and creativity, he helped lead the team to an undefeated conference record and an NCAA tournament appearance. Following the conclusion of the season, he was selected to coach in the North/South D3 All-Star game. Beyond his time at Western Connecticut State, Tenaglia has coached for Long Island Express North since 2022. There, he coached two teams, the graduating classes of 2025 and 2029. He also took on the role of evaluating players' talent at tryouts, helping make decisions as to which players would best fit the team. He has also served as a coach at New Fairfield High School since 2020 and was a New Fairfield Lacrosse Camp Coordinator and Coach for just over a year. Before becoming a full-time coach, Tenaglia was a four-year member of the Syracuse University men's lacrosse team and was named a team captain for the 2024 season. As a member of the Orange, he was named to the Dean's List six times, ACC Academic Honor Roll four times, and was a nominee for the 2024 Doris Soladay Award, Syracuse athletics' highest honor that is presented to male and female student-athletes, recognizing the student-athlete for their academic success, athletic accomplishments, leadership, and community engagement. Tenaglia graduated from Syracuse University with his bachelor's in communication and rhetorical studies in 2023 before earning his certificate of advanced study in intercollegiate athletic advising support in 2024.
