University of Nevada - Reno Women's Softball

After completing her initial two years at the University of Oregon, Gabby Herrera concluded her collegiate playing career with a remarkable final season at the University of Nevada in 2024. During this standout year, she was honored as the Co-Mountain West Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Mountain West and Second Team All-Region accolades as an outfielder. Herrera's exceptional performance included a .392 batting average and record-breaking statistics in home runs (17), RBIs (65), and total bases. Prior to her tenure at Nevada, Gabby competed for the Ducks, where she batted a career average of .268 during her freshman and sophomore years. Following the end of her illustrious playing career, Gabby transitioned to a significant role on the coaching staff as the Director of Player Development. This new position coincided with Victoria Haywards inaugural season as head coach of the Pack, allowing Herrera to leverage her extensive playing experience to contribute to the team's growth and success from a developmental perspective.
