University of Pennsylvania - Penn Women's Volleyball

Wyatt Emenaker joined the University of Pennsylvania volleyball staff as an assistant coach in February 2024. Emenaker's first season at Penn saw the volleyball program take a massive step forward, the Quakers more than tripling their win totals both overall (13) and in Ivy League play (7) from the previous season. Following the campaign, sophomore Zada Sanger and freshman Adell Murray received honorable mention All-Ivy recognition.   Emenaker came to University City from VCU, where he spent the last two years as a graduate assistant for the Rams. Among his duties in that position, he worked with the pin attackers. During Emenaker’s tenure, VCU improved its Atlantic 10 record from 9-9 in 2022 to 13-5 in 2023 and advanced to the A-10 Tournament semifinal round this past season.   A native of Newton, Mass., Emenaker preceded his VCU tenure with a three-year stint as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. In addition to executing practice plans and game-day strategy, Emenaker spearheaded recruiting efforts and coordinated travel among his other responsibilities.   Emenaker started his coaching career at his alma mater, Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass. He spent two years as a student assistant coach and was part of a staff that was honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Coaching Staff of the Year in 2018. Emenaker also boasts extensive coaching experience at the club level with the Maine Juniors and the SMASH Volleyball Club in Massachusetts.   Emenaker played four years of club volleyball at Brandeis, where he served as club president and was selected New England College Volleyball League (NECVL) All-Tournament in 2018 and 2019. Emenaker earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Brandeis in 2019 and completed his Master’s in Sports Leadership from VCU’s Center for Sport Leadership in December 2023.
