University of Rochester Women's Crew

Goerlich begins her first season on the Rochester Rowing coaching staff in the 2015-16 season. Began rowing at the University of Rhode Island in 1996. Competed in sweep and sculling events for U.R.I. for four years, culminating in a silver medal at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships rowing bow-seat in the womens quad in 2000. Also competed at the Head of the Charles, Head of the Connecticut, New England Collegiate Championships, and Dad Vail regattas.   Began coaching for Brighton Rowing Club in the fall of 2003 as the assistant varsity boys coach. Coached the varsity girls team from spring 2004 through spring 2007 and the modified sculling program during the fall 2007 season. Highlights of the teams competitive success include 12th place at US Rowings Youth Invite in the womens double in 2005, gold at New York State High School Championships in the womens scholastic junior 4+ in 2004 and womens scholastic double in 2005, and bronze in the womens single in 2005.   Served as Brighton Rowing Clubs Coach Coordinator beginning in the fall of 2005 through the spring 2007 season. Instrumental in the organization of the Brighton Burn Ergatta and local scrimmages hosted by the club. Arranged for the donation of a heavy-duty pick-up truck to tow the shell trailer from a local construction company.   While at Mercy Crew for the 2009-2010 school year, coached the Novice Girls to a 2nd place finish at New York State High School Championships in the Freshman 8+, advancing to the Scholastic Rowing Association of Americas National Championships.   Competed with the Genesee Waterways Centers Masters program at Canadian Henley, Row Ontario Masters Championships, FISA World Masters, US Rowing Masters Championships, and the Head of the Charles between 2004 and 2008. During the summer of 2006 earned gold in the womens quad and bronze in the womens open double representing the Western Division in the Empire State Games, and gold in the womens B8 at FISA World Rowing Masters regatta.   Currently an active member of the competitive team at the Genesee Rowing Club.
