Longsworth returns for his third season as USF head track and field coach after serving as an assistant for five seasons. He had been an assistant coach for five years as throwing coach specializing in the hammer, shot put, discus, javelin and weight throws. He has worked with sprinters and jumpers as well. He also coordinates the strength and conditioning for all cross-country and track & field teams at USF. Longsworth recently has been USATF Level I certified. Longsworth, 30, is a 2008 USF graduate. After graduating in 2008 and since joining the USF coaching staff.... Longsworth is a member of USATF (Unites States of America Track & Field), USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association), NTCA (National Throws Coaches Association), and USAPL (USA Powerlifting). He is a 2003 graduate of Elmhurst High School, where he lettered in football, wrestling and track. He and his wife Jean reside in Fort Wayne.
