Paul DeAngelo
Head Coach
DeAngelo has carved out a niche of his own in seven seasons as head coach, leading the Royal women to back-to-back Landmark Conference championships (2009, 2010), runner-up finishes four times (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), and an overall record of 66-15 (.815) in dual-meet competition. The Scranton men have also showed significant improvement under his leadership, earning a second-place finish at the Landmark championships twice (2009, 2012) and posting a 48-25 (.658) record in dual meets. A graduate of the Scranton Preparatory School and The University of Scranton, DeAngelo and Evans worked with Sarah Gazdalski, a 1999 All-American and 11-time Middle Atlantic Conference individual champion, and 14 other swimmers who have gone on to win 32 Middle Atlantic and Landmark Conference individual titles. Paul, who has competed in swimming on the district, state and national level, and his wife, Anna, have two children: Paul, a graduate of the University, and Nicole.
