Head Coach
Jim Glogowski became the 22nd head coach of Cougar Football on December 9, 2022. He'll enter his third season at the helm of The Coo in 2025. During his second season with USF, the Cougars went 8-3 with wins over St. Thomas, Northern State, UMary, Minnesota State, Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota Duluth, Wayne State, and Southwest Minnesota State. Glogowski helped lead 13 student-athletes to NSIC All-Conference teams, those being: Aiden DeVolder, Andy Henson, Mark Leonard, and Carter Slykhuis making 1st team, and Camden Dean, Matt Goehring, Garret Hoffman, Ben Pederson, Dylan Rudningen, Joseph Saap III, Preston Yohnke, and Travis Yohnke making 2nd team. In the classroom, the Cougars landed 20 student-athletes on the NSIC Academic Team of Excellence, 15 on the NSIC All-Academic team and seven were named to the CSC Academic All-District team. During his first season with USF, the Cougars went 3-8 with wins over UMary, Minot State and Concordia-St. Paul. Glogowski helped lead five student-athletes to NSIC All-Conference teams in Mark Leonard, Carter Slykhuis, Dylan Rudningen, Matt Goehring and Amaurii Grosskopf. In the classroom, the Cougars landed 10 student-athletes on the NSIC Academic Team of Excellence, eight on the NSIC All-Academic team and two earning NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction honors while seven were named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Glogowski joins the Cougars after spending seven seasons with the Minnesota State University Mavericks as associate head coach and defensive coordinator. Coach Glogowski helped lead the Mavericks to a record of 64-14 with a conference record of 56-10. He assisted the Mavericks to four NSIC championships with three consecutive 11-0 conference seasons. Glogowski has taken his team to the NCAA DII playoffs four times out of his six years at Mankato. During his time at Minnesota State, Glogowski produced 45 NSIC All-Conference performers and seven honorable mention athletes along with the 2019 NSIC Newcomer of the Year. In 2019, Coach Glogowski was named the NSIC Assistant Football Coach of the Year following a 14-1 season and an appearance in the NCAA DII Football Championship. Prior to Minnesota State, Glogowski served as the head football coach at Simpson College, a NCAA DIII program in Indianola, Iowa, from 2007 to 2016 where he led the Storm to 37 wins, including a pair of second-place finishes in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Coach also served as an assistant football coach at his alma mater, the University of South Dakota, from 2004 to 2007. He helped lead the Coyotes to a 33-13 record along with a DII playoff appearance in 2006. From 2001 to 2003, Glogowski served as an assistant football coach at Allegheny College, an NCAA DIII program located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. In 2003, Glogowski earned the Sam Timer Award for "the commitment to excellence" and "the dedication of holding themselves and the people around them to a higher standard." He led his team to the NCAA DIII playoffs as well as earning the 2003 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship title. Glogowski also served as Clarion University's linebackers coach and special teams coordinator in 2000. Additionally, he spent one season at Augustana University as a graduate assistant coach in 1997. Before he began his coaching career, Glogowski was a four-year starter at the University of South Dakota where he spent his first two seasons as a strong safety before finishing his final two years as an outside linebacker. In 1995, Glogowski was named a team captain for the Coyotes and earned both MVP and All-American honors. He was named to the North Central Conference first team and was awarded Most Outstanding USD Male Athlete and Most Inspirational Player. Glogowski was inducted into the Coyote Hall of Fame in 2013 for his athletic achievements. Glogowski graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in health & physical education. Jim and his wife, Kate, are the parents of Jacob, Madeline, Benjamin and Samantha. Spencer Capitani enters his third season with the University of Sioux Falls Football Team as their Defensive Coordinator and defensive backs coach. In the 2024 season Cougar Football finished the season 8-3 and t-2nd in conference standings. They also had 13 student-athletes named to the NSIC All-Conference teams, 15 athletes awarded All-Academic team and 20 athletes awarded All-Academic team of Excellence. Capitani joins USF following a five year stint at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. He helped produce an all-region athlete, one All-American, and 10 all-conference players. Capitani helped lead the Wildcats to three conference championships, an NCAA playoff appearance in 2021, and national recognition in 2022. Prior to Central Washington, Capitani spent two years at Minnesota State – Mankato as a cornerbacks coach. While with the Mavericks, he helped produce two all-conference athletes while helping lead the #1 team in the nation to an NSIC conference championship in 2017. Capitani helped lead MSU to a 21-4 overall record during his time with the Mavs while also helping lead the ninth ranked defense in the nation. Capitani started his coaching career at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse as a cornerback's coach where he also coordinated special teams and offensive scout teams. Prior to his coaching career, Capitani was an All-American cornerback at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa where he earned Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors and multiple all-region and all-conference awards. Capitani was named a team captain his senior season while helping lead his 12-1 team to back-to-back conference championships. He graduated from Wartburg College with a bachelor's degree in business administration followed by his masters in sports administration and coaching from the University of Concordia Irvine. Alex Johnson
Assistant Coach
Alex Johnson is entering his second season as an Assistant Coach specializing with the USF Linbackers and Special Teams. Johnson brings a well-rounded coaching background and valuable experience on both sides of the ball. He most recently served on the staff at Buena Vista University, where he joined as offensive coordinator in 2023. His versatility and strategic acumen have made him a respected figure across multiple phases of the game. Before his time at BVU, Johnson spent three seasons at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, serving as co-defensive coordinator. He also held coaching roles at Minnesota State (2018–19) and Hamline University (2017). During his time at Mankato, he helped guide the Mavericks to a national semifinal appearance in 2018 and a national runner-up finish in 2019. Under his leadership, four players earned All-NSIC honors and one received All-Super Region recognition. A native of the Midwest, Johnson is a 2014 graduate of Marquette University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. His diverse coaching resume and proven ability to develop talent at a high level make him a valuable addition to the USF staff. Updated: 5/2025

Jay Schlichte
Assistant Coach
Schlichte joins The Coo for his first season following a highly successful tenure at Morningside University, where he helped guide one of the most explosive offenses in NAIA football. As Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach, Schlichte's units averaged over 430 yards and 36 points per game in 2024 and 2025. During his time with Morningside, Schlichte helped capture two NAIA National Championships and five GPAC Championships, developing six All-American Linemen and protecting back-to-back NAIA Player of the Year quarterbacks. His offensive lines also paved the way for five 1,000-yard rushers and led the country with just 21 sacks allowed in four seasons. A former tight end at Minnesota Duluth and native of Minnesota, Schlichte also brings coaching experience from the University of Dubuque and a strong recruiting background across the Midwest and beyond.

Andre McCall

Andre McCall enters his third season with the University of Sioux Falls Football team as their defensive line coach and social media coordinator. In the 2024 season Cougar Football finished the season 8-3 and t-2nd in conference standings. They also had 13 student-athletes named to the NSIC All-Conference teams, 15 athletes awarded All-Academic team and 20 athletes awarded All-Academic team of Excellence. Before joining the Coo, McCall spent one season as the defensive line coach and travel & social media coordinator at Eastern New Mexico University. While with the Greyhounds, McCall helped build the second best red zone defense in the Lone Star Conference. Prior to ENMU, McCall spent four seasons with Wayne State College where he held multiple roles with the Wildcats. He joined WSC as a graduate assistant running backs coach. He then served as their social media & travel coordinator, and defensive line coach. McCall began his coaching career at Webster County High School in Dixon, Kentucky where he served as both their offensive and defensive coordinator, linebackers coach as well as their offensive line coach. While at Webster County, he also served as their strength and conditioning coach. Prior to his coaching career, McCall earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from Kentucky State where he was also a member of the Thorobred football program. Keevan Lucas

Lucas enters his first season as the wide receivers coach for USF Football. Keevan Lucas, a former NFL wide receiver and All-American Athletic Conference honoree at Tulsa, as the program’s new wide receivers coach ahead of the 2025 season. Lucas brings a dynamic blend of elite playing experience, global perspective, and a passion for mentorship to the Cougars’ coaching staff. Known for his explosive playmaking ability, Lucas finished his career at the University of Tulsa with 2,970 receiving yards, 26 touchdowns, and six 100-yard games despite missing most of the 2015 season due to injury. Lucas signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 before taking his talents to the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos and later the German Football League's Potsdam Royals, where his time abroad expanded his view of life and culture, reshaping his purpose beyond the game. After his playing career, Lucas launched 2Mile Movement, a business dedicated to training and mentoring athletes of all ages. Through it, he’s worked closely with youth and adults, providing performance coaching and life mentorship with a focus on discipline, accountability, and resilience. At Tulsa, Lucas was a two-time letterwinner and emerged as one of the top receivers in the country during the 2014 season, hauling in 101 receptions for 1,219 yards and 11 touchdowns to earn Second Team All-AAC honors. He was a semifinalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and was repeatedly recognized on national watch lists, including for the Biletnikoff Award. A native of Abilene, Texas, Lucas starred at Abilene High School and tied the school’s 200-meter track record with a time of 21.5 seconds. He earned multiple all-district honors and graduated early to enroll at Tulsa in January 2013.

Weston Bridges
Assistant Coach
Weston Bridges joins USF for his first season as the runnings back coach. Bridges brings a wealth of experience and insight to the USF backfield after a standout playing career that included time at both the NCAA Division I and Division II levels. He began his collegiate career at Michigan State University, where he appeared in multiple games and totaled 53 rushing yards on 16 carries during the 2018 season. He later transferred to Ashland University, competing with the program during the 2020 season that was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bridges continued his athletic journey at the University of Central Missouri, competing as a redshirt senior running back. During the 2023 season, he emerged as a key contributor in UCM’s backfield rotation, including a standout performance with 64 rushing yards on seven carries against Northeastern State A native of Ohio, Bridges had a decorated prep career at Copley High School. He was a two-time Associated Press Division II All-Ohio First Team selection and earned national rankings among the top running backs in the country by Scout.com, Rivals, 247Sports, and ESPN. Over his high school career, Bridges rushed for an impressive 3,583 yards and 60 touchdowns on 474 carries, finishing with 63 total touchdowns. Recognized for his elite talent and leadership, Bridges was twice named the Suburban League American Division Player of the Year and was selected to multiple all-region and all-state teams throughout his career. With firsthand experience across Division I and Division II landscapes, Bridges brings both high-level competition and versatility to his coaching. His proven performance, coupled with his dedication and football IQ, makes him an exceptional mentor for the Cougars’ running backs.

Al Hansen enters his 27th season as the punters and kickers coach for the University of Sioux Falls. In the 2024 season Cougar Football finished the season 8-3 and t-2nd in conference standings. They also had 13 student-athletes named to the NSIC All-Conference teams, 15 athletes awarded All-Academic team and 20 athletes awarded All-Academic team of Excellence. Throughout his career with the program, he has coached five All-American punters and kickers. Lucas Lueders enters his third season with the University of Sioux Falls Football team as an Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. In the 2024 season Cougar Football finished the season 8-3 and t-2nd in conference standings. They also had 13 student-athletes named to the NSIC All-Conference teams, 15 athletes awarded All-Academic team and 20 athletes awarded All-Academic team of Excellence. Prior to USF, Lueders served as offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for three years at the University of Central Missouri. In 2021, he helped orchestrate the leading passing offense of the MIAA. Before Central Missouri, Lueders spent 9 seasons at Morningside College as their offensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach. He helped produce one of the most high-volume offensive attacks in all of NAIA football along with two National Championships and two undefeated seasons. Over those 9 seasons, Lueders also coached 3 NAIA Players of the Year, and helped send on player, Brandon Wegher, to the NFL to play with the Carolina Panthers. Before Morningside, Lueders spent two years at St. Ambrose University as an offensive and defensive graduate assistant while earning his master's in organizational leadership. Prior to St. Ambrose, Lueders spent one season at Sterling College where he served as a student assistant coach for the linebackers. In 2008, he received his bachelors in exercise science from Sterling College. Lueders joins the Cougar Family with his wife Megan and their two sons, Greysen and Davis. Updated: 5/2025
