In Marshalls first season back on campus in 2022, the Bulls posted a record of 9-7-4. The Bulls made a phenomenal run in the back half of the season, accumulating a record of 6-3-1, making an appearance in the American Athletic Conference Championship Final for the first time since 2016. Sal Mazzaferro, Alfred Perez, Oscar Resano and Nicolas Scargle were placed on the American Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the AAC Conference Tournament.   The Bulls received an At-Large Bid to the 2022 NCAA Championship Tournament, its first since 2019, in which the Bulls won its First Round match up against Hofstra (4-2), earning its first win in the NCAA tournament since 2011. In addition, South Floridas four goals tied the school record for the most goals scored in an NCAA Tournament match, equaling the four scored in a 4-4 draw against Virginia in 2005.   Brian Schaefer and Sal Mazzaferro garnered American Athletic All-Conference Second Team Honors. Sal Mazzaferro also selected to the USC All-East Region Third Team.   Following the 2022 Fall Campaign, Austin FC drafted Sal Mazzaferro in the third round, making Mazzeferro the 26th USF Bull to be drafted in the MLS SuperDraft. Marcus Victorio signed a professional contract with Norrby IF (Sweden) and Alfred Perez signed a professional contract with Futbol Consultants Desamparados (Costa Rica).   At the conclusion of the 2022 Season, Marshall was chosen as one of the Top Assistant Coaches in College Soccer, after being named to the College Soccer News (CSN) Top Assistant Coaches list.   Marshall played for South Florida from 2007-09, starting 31 out of 41 games for the Bulls. The Tallahassee native helped lead the 2007 team that advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 and played a pivotal role on the 2008 BIG EAST Championship team that advanced to the Elite Eight for the second time in school history. During his time in the   Green and Gold, the Bulls held the third-longest home winning streak in NCAA history, going 32 games unbeaten from 2007-09. He was also a member of the South Florida track and field team, where he was an All-BIG EAST selection (2008-10) and a part of the Bulls record-breaking 4x100 meter relay in 2010.   Marshall started his collegiate career at Stetson University where he started all 21 games as a true freshman. He received Atlantic Sun (ASUN) All-Conference honors after amassing six goals and four assists, earning a unanimous selection to the ASUN All-Freshman team. Marshall also earned ASUN tournament honors after scoring the game-winning goal in the 2005 conference championship game, defeating Campbell 2-1 and sending Stetson to its first NCAA Tournament berth in school history. In addition to his all-tournament honors, he was also named the Offensive Most Valuable Player of the ASUN tournament.   Following his playing career, Marshall served on the South Florida mens soccer coaching staff for four years (2011-14) as director of operations helping to guide the Bulls to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, as well as two conference titles in 2011 and 2013.   Marshall returns after spending the previous four seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at American Athletic Conference (AAC) foe Temple. During the 2020 campaign, the Owls logged a 5-4-2 record during the COVID-19 shortened season, its first winning season since 2017. The squad qualified for the AAC Tournament for the third-straight year, with its highest seed ever (three).   The Owls had six players garner AAC All-Conference honors, with two earning first team, three on the second team, and two on the All-Rookie Team. Pierre Cayet also won unanimous conference Defensive Player of the Year honors and signed a professional contract with the New England Revolution II, becoming the third Owl to sign a professional contract during Marshalls tenure.   In 2019 the Owls improved their win total from 2018, with an overall record of 8-8-2. The Owls finished the season with an RPI ranking of 38, while also qualifying for the AAC tournament for the second consecutive year. The squad earned its first-ever AAC postseason win after defeating Memphis 2-1 to advance to the AAC tournament semifinals for the first time in school history.   The Owls had four players garner AAC All-Conference honors in 2019, placing three on the All-AAC second team (Simon Lefebvre, Lukas Fernandes and Pierre Cayet), with freshman Sean Karani being a unanimous AAC All-Freshman Team selection.   Simon Lefebvre became the first Temple player in program history to be drafted in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft. Lefebvre was chosen 21st overall by DC United, becoming the highest draft pick in Temple mens soccer history. Fernandes also signed a professional contract with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USL Championship), becoming the second player in Marshalls tenure at Temple to earn a professional contract. 2019 was also a banner year in the classroom for the Owls as they earned a 3.29 cumulative team GPA. Leandros Lillis was named to the Academic All-America team, becoming just the sixth player in school history to receive the honor.   In 2018, the Owls qualified for the AAC tournament and three players earned AAC All- Conference honors. Lukas Fernandes was named to the All-AAC second team, while freshmen Andres Charles and Jalen Campbell were named to the AAC All-Rookie team.   Before Temple, Marshall served on the Jacksonville University coaching staff from 2014-18, playing a key role in the resurgence of the men's soccer program. In his time there, he helped guide the Dolphins to their first Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Championship appearance in eight years during the 2016 season, followed by a second consecutive appearance in the 2017 ASUN Championship match. During his time as recruiting coordinator at Jacksonville, the Dolphins had ten players receive ASUN All- Conference honors, with five players being named to the ASUN All-Freshman team. A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Marshall graduated from Lincoln High School in May 2005. Marshall earned a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from USF in 2010. Marshall also earned a Master of Science Degree in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at Temple University in 2022.

A collegiate coaching veteran of 15 years, Armanté Marshall enters his fifth season on staff after being elevated to Associate Head Coach in June of 2025. Marshall joined the Bulls ahead of the 2022 campaign as the program's assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Marshall’s responsibilities on the Bulls staff include recruiting, compliance, academic liaison, alumni relations and scouting opponents. Marshall, a USF Alum and proven recruiter, enters his fifth season with the Bulls in 2026, helping the Bulls solidify the 4th ranked Transfer Portal Class in the country.  The 2025 recruiting class was ranked the 15th best recruiting class in the country by Top Drawer Soccer, which was the highest ranked recruiting class since 2015. In 2025, The Bulls posted an overall record of 9-3-5, while qualifying for the American Conference Post Season tournament for the fourth consecutive year. The Bulls started the 2025 season riding a 12-match unbeaten streak, with a record of 7-0-5. The run of 12 games unbeaten was the best start in program history. The Bulls broke into the Top 25 in two different polls, led by an attacking front that averaged 1.94 Goals Per Game. Pedro Faife and Fabio Bozesan were named to the American Athletic Conference First Team, Jahiem Wickham was tabbed Co-Goalkeeper of the Year, while also garnering American Athletic Conference Second Team Honors. Brandon Nyagurungo joined Wickham on the American Athletic Conference Second Team. True Freshman Nicolas Pietrantonio was tabbed American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team. At the Conclusion of the 2025 season, Jahiem Wickham became the 31st MLS Superdraft Pick In program history, when Charlotte FC drafted Wickham in the 3rd Round, with the 82nd overall selection. Wickham is the eighth player since 2022 to sign a professional contract under Marshall. In 2024, Marshall helped the Bulls qualify for the American Athletic Conference Post Season Tournament with a 4-3 AAC record. The 4-3 AAC record secured the number two overall seed in the AAC Post Season Tournament, the highest regular season finish since the Bulls claimed the AAC regular season title after a first-place finish in 2016. The Bulls posted an overall record of 6-6-4. Pedro Faife garnered AAC Midfielder of the Year honors, as well as being named to the American Athletic All-Conference First Team as a sophomore. Jalen Anderson, Issah Hamidu and Gunnar Studenhofft were named to the American Athletic Conference Second Team, and freshman, Marcelo Mondragon was named to the All-Rookie Team. Jemone Barclay was also named to the AAC All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the AAC Conference Tournament. At the Conclusion of the 2024 campaign, Gunnar Studenhofft signed a three year contract with Nashville Soccer Club of Major League Soccer, becoming the seventh player to sign a professional contract since Marshall’s return to campus in 2022. In 2023, Marshall helped the Bulls again qualify for the American Athletic Conference Post Season Tournament with a 3-4-1 AAC record. The Bulls posted a 6-9-1 record overall, securing a Top 15-ranked win against Indiana. Ajmeer Spengler and Jalen Anderson earned American Athletic All-Conference First Team Honors. Pedro Faife was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team. Ajmeer Spengler was selected to the USC All-East Region Second Team. At the conclusion of the 2023 campaign, Brian Schaefer became the 30th MLS SuperDraft Pick in USF History, after being drafted by FC Cincinnati. Schaefer was taken in the 1st Round, with the 27th overall pick, joining Mike Mekelburg, Jeff Cunningham, Anthony Wallace, Dom Dwyer, Ben Sweat and Javain Brown as the only MLS SuperDraft First Round Draft Picks in USF History. Ajmeer Spengler signed his first professional contract with South Georgia Tormenta FC of USL League One.   In May 2022, University of South Florida men’s soccer head coach Bob Butehorn announced that a familiar face will be returning to the Corbett Stadium pitch with the addition of former Bulls standout Armante’ Marshall as an assistant coach. Daniel De Oliveira brings over 20 years of professional playing and coaching experience to the USF Bulls men’s soccer program. A former offensive midfielder, he played professionally in Venezuela, the United States, Spain, Brazil, and Central America, and competed at DIV 1 soccer program Long Island University, where he earned a degree in Sports Sciences, Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year, selection to the Soccer America 1987 Freshmen Team, and four consecutive All-State and All-Conference First Team honors. He represented Venezuela at both Youth and Senior National Team levels and later competed in beach worldwide soccer. A FIFA Future III certified coaching instructor with a Sports Management specialization from FIFA and the prestigious Venezuelan Metropolitan University. He also holds a CONMEBOL Professional-level coaching license and a USSF "A" License. De Oliveira has served as Head Coach of Venezuelan Youth National Teams and as Sporting Director/Head Coach for many years at the professional level, where he scouted, coached, and helped develop top players including MLS 2018 and golden boot Josef Martínez as well as former USF alumni Gerardo Hernandez, Eduardo Maceira, Alessandro Bianchi, Juan Carlos Garcia, Luis Avila, Roberto Alterio, Alessandro Paciocco and Top midfieders Bernardo Anor and Francisco Aristeguieta among others. He has trained as a coach with elite clubs such as Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Bayern Leverkusen, Fluminense, LOSC, Legia Warsaw, and federations including Germany, Croatia, and the KNVB, earning Elite certifications in Match Analysis and Training Planning.  In 2025, in his first full-time NCAA Division I experience, he helped lead the GCU Lopes to a WAC Championship and a historic NCAA Third Round appearance, defeating top-ranked programs,  finishing the season with a 14-4-5 record, the second-most wins in program history. GCU captured the WAC Tournament title with a victory over San Jose State before advancing past UCLA and San Diego in the NCAA Tournament. The 2025 Antelopes were led by freshman forward Junior Diouf (17 goals and six assists), who earned the WAC Freshman of the Year and WAC Offensive Player of the Year. Following the campaign, the staff was named the 2025 United Soccer Coaches Men's College Soccer Far West Region Staff of the Year. On the personal side, Daniel is a proud father of two daughters, Daniela and Sabrina, who currently reside and attend college in Venezuela. Dani will be getting married this coming March 17th to his fiancée, Ana Cecilia Jimenez.

AJ Madero comes to USF as an Assistant Coach on George Kiefer's staff after serving in the same position for two seasons under Kiefer for the Grand Canyon men's soccer team. In 2025, he helped guide the Lopes to a Western Athletic Conference championship and an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance, finishing the season with a 14-4-5 record, the second-most wins in program history. GCU captured the WAC Tournament title with a victory over San Jose State before advancing past UCLA and San Diego in the NCAA Tournament.  Following the campaign, the staff was named the 2025 United Soccer Coaches Men's College Soccer Far West Region Staff of the Year. The 2025 Antelopes were led by freshman forward Junior Diouf (17 goals and six assists), who earned the WAC Freshman of the Year and WAC Offensive Player of the Year. Lopes midfielder Martin Luala was selected 28th overall in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft. Luala came to GCU out of a local junior college, recruited by Kiefer and his staff. In his second season with GCU (2025), Madero worked with goalkeeper Daniel Ibarra, who went on to earn a spot on the All-WAC Tournament Team and earned WAC Co-Goalkeeper of the Week for the week of October 21. Ibarra finished the season with 70 saves (83.3 save percentage), 11 wins, and only 14 goals allowed, on 220 shots faced, playing in 20 games. In his first season in Phoenix (2024), Madero worked with goalkeeper Leon Schmidt, who ended his career as the Lopes D-I era leader in total saves. Schmidt totaled 76 saves and five shutouts, with eight games with at least five saves to his name. Schmidt's total save count ranked 18th in the nation in 2024, while his 4.22 saves per game ranked 29th.  Madero previously worked under head coach George Kiefer at North Carolina State and brings ACC- and WAC-level experience after also previously serving as assistant coach at UT Rio Grande Valley. Beginning as a volunteer assistant coach in the spring of 2021 at UTRGV, Madero was named a Vaqueros assistant prior to the 2021 fall campaign and helped lead them to a 21-18-5 record. During that time, Madero was a part of UTRGV's first-ever national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and the No. 2 seed in the 2020-21 WAC Tournament.   In 2022, Madero joined the staff for the U.S. Virgin Islands National Team. Madero led the national team to its first home game – a CONCACAF Nations League win. He oversaw goalkeeper development and sports performance preparation and recovery. From November 2020 through October 2022, Madero was the technical director for RGV Toros MLS/USL Academy.   He also served as the goalkeeper coach for USL Championship RGV Toros and was the head coach for the U15 and U19 boys.   Madero started his career at his alma mater, Liberty, in 2010 as an assistant coach/director of performance analysis. During his time with the Flames, he was also the recruiting coordinator, coaching 12 All-Americans and 11 national team players.   Madero has been a part of three NCAA Tournament appearances, 13 conference postseason appearances and five conference championship games. He also coached four conference players of the year. Overall, Madero has coached 27 student-athletes who have signed professional contracts. As a player at Liberty from 2007-09, Madero was an all-conference selection and compiled a 16-4-6 record as a goalkeeper. He set program records with a 0.52 goals against average and eight home shutouts. Madero finished his career without giving up a goal at home, going 10-0-2 at Osborne Stadium.   Madero holds a master's degree in sports administration and a bachelor's of science from Liberty. Last year, he completed the professional diploma in workload management from FC Barcelona. He holds a USSF C License and is a candidate for B License. Madero is originally from Tampa, Fla., and returns home to the area after nearly 20 years away.
