Casey Dickson
Head Coach
University of Oklahoma alum Casey Dickson was named the head softball coach for UT Dallas in October 2024. In her first season, the Comets went 17-18 while transitioning to NCAA Division II. The team broke the school records for most batters hit by a pitch and walks in a season. Dickson joined the Comets after a five-year stint as the pitching coach for Towson University in Maryland. She helped the Tigers reach the Coastal Athletic Association Tournament finals in 2023. Prior to Towson, she was the co-owner and founder of Sports Doctor Athletics Indoor and Outdoor Sports Facility in Clarksville, Tenn. Not only was Dickson the manager of the facility, staff and events, she also provided professional instruction. She served as the head softball coach at Austin Peay State in Clarksville from 2009-12. Dickson coached two All-Ohio Valley Conference selections and a College Sports Information Directors of America All-District pick while winning 62 games. Prior to APSU, Dickson spent three seasons at Temple University in Philadelphia as the head coach. While with the Owls, she coached the Atlantic 10 Softball Player of the Year, A10 Student-Athlete of the Year and All-Region selection. Dickson also tenured three All-Atlantic 10 selections and two All-Rookie team members. Dickson spent three seasons as the head softball coach at Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas. The 2005 team earned a combined 3.62 cumulative grade point average and was named the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic Team of the Year. Dickson also had stints as an assistant coach at Tulsa (1999), Nicholls State (2000) and UT San Antonio (2001). Dickson was a four-year softball letterwinner at the University of Oklahoma as a first baseman. She set single-season school records for home runs (17) and runs batted in (61) during her senior season. She ended her four years at OU as one of the school's most prolific offensive players, sitting atop career lists for RBI (166), home runs (27), total bases (337) and walks (118). The first Oklahoma player to receive All-Midwest Region honors three times (1995-97), the three-time all-conference selection led the Sooners to four straight NCAA Tournaments. Dickson received a bachelor's degree in English Literature in 2000 from OU. Following her collegiate playing career, Dickson was selected by Tampa Bay in the first Women's Professional Softball League draft. She opted to play with the California Redding Rebels in the Women's Major Softball League (1997).

Haley Lee
Assistant Coach
NCAA Softball World Series champion Haley Lee joined the UT Dallas staff as an assistant coach in November 2024. She has the primary responsibility of working with the Comet offense. In her first season, the Comets went 17-18 while transitioning to NCAA Division II. The team broke the school records for most batters hit by a pitch and walks in a season. Lee won the a national title with the University of Oklahoma in 2023, appearing in 62 games as a catcher, designated player and outfielder. She earned NFCA All-Central Region Second Team, All-Big 12 First Team and Big 12 Championship Most Outstanding Player honors with the Sooners. Lee hit .370 with 14 home runs, 10 doubles and 51 RBI in her final season of collegiate softball. Prior to her time in Norman, Lee played four seasons at Texas A&M University in College Station where she was a two-time USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 Finalist, two-time NFCA All-American, two-time NFCA All-South Region Second Team pick and an All-Southeastern Conference First Team honoree. She hit .365 over 192 games for the Aggies, recording 121 runs, 191 hits, 36 doubles, 47 homers and 130 RBI. Lee also holds the single-season home run record with 25. Lee has played for the Oklahoma City Spark of the Women's Professional Fastpitch and Association of Fastpitch Professionals in 2023, 2024 and 2025. A native of Kingwood, Texas, Lee was an All-State selection and District MVP for Kingwood High School. After college, Lee has served as a coach for the Oklahoma Fuel and as a brand associate for Driving Force Sports. Lee earned a bachelors from Texas A&M in 2021 in Sport Management and masters in 2023. She also earned a masters from OU in Adult and Higher Education in 2024.
