He helped guide the Braves to 11 womens team tournament wins and six mens tournament victories. UNC Pembroke produced numerous all-conference, All-Americans and academic All-Americans during his tenure there.   Its going to difficult starting out, but once we get the ball rolling, I am confident we will be competing for titles in the Gulf South Conference and at the national level, Buie said. Everything is in place here to be a national contender.   I really appreciate (athletic director) Stan Williamson and the UWA administration for having enough confidence to give me this opportunity to be a part of UWA history, Buie said. I have already fallen in love with Livingston and UWA and am looking forward to building something special here.   Buie played his college golf at Lees-McRae College and Montreat College. He also served as the assistant golf pro at Uwharrie Golf Club in Asheboro, N.C. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Sport Management from North Carolina State in 2009.
