Mason Robinson

Mason Robinson is entering his fourth year as the wide receiver coach and recruiting coordinator for UW-Oshkosh football in 2026. Additionally, Robinson oversees the creative content and social media needs for the program. Last season Robinson’s wide receiver unit played a part in the Titans averaging 240.5 passing yards per game. In 2024, Robinson helped Trae Tetzlaff garner his third consecutive All-WIAC First Team recognition after recording 68 receptions for 864 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2023, Robinson led Tetzlaff to his second All-WIAC First Team honor. Tetzlaff accumulated 66 receptions for 742 yards and nine touchdowns. During the 2022 season, Robinson served as the director of recruiting at Austin Peay State University (Tenn.). Robinson coordinated all player evaluations, on-campus recruitments, and oversaw the creative direction for the program. Robinson, with his team, built a roster that won the 2022 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship and landed an eventual top five NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision recruiting class in the country per 247Sports. Robinson was the assistant director of recruiting strategy and defensive line coach at Whittier College (Calif.) in 2021.  From 2018-21, Robinson worked as a recruiting and player personnel assistant for Division I University of Southern California. Robinson’s duties included film breakdown and recruiting operations while assisting the creative team with social media. During his tenure Robinson spent three years as a part of USC’s recruiting department that ended up landing a top-10 class and the number one overall player in 2021.  Robinson, who hails from Bethesda, Md., resides in the Oshkosh area. Drew Sperry

Drew Sperry is a seasoned football coach and dedicated educator, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the UW-Oshkosh football program. With a strong background in coaching linebackers and safeties, Sperry has been an integral part of the program's success since joining the staff in 2011. Career Highlights: 2021-Present: Sperry returned to UW-Oshkosh in 2021, rejoining the program as the safeties coach. His return has added depth to the coaching staff, and his expertise in defensive strategies has been invaluable in helping the team reach new heights. 2020: In pursuit of further coaching opportunities, Sperry briefly left the program to become the defensive coordinator at Evansville High School, his hometown. This experience allowed him to bring fresh perspectives and strategies back to UW-Oshkosh. 2017: Sperry took on a new challenge, transitioning to coaching safeties. His adaptability and commitment to player development were evident as he seamlessly transitioned to coaching a different position group. 2011-2016: Sperry began his coaching journey at UW-Oshkosh as an assistant linebacker coach. During this time, he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the game, helping to shape the linebackers into a formidable defensive force. Off the Field: Beyond the football field, Sperry is equally passionate about education. He is a dedicated teacher at Carl Traeger Middle School in Oshkosh, where he shares his knowledge and inspires young minds. Family: Sperry comes from a close-knit family. His parents, Todd and Jane Sperry, have been a source of unwavering support throughout his coaching journey. He also has a sister, Devon, who resides in Arizona with her husband Derek. Sperry's commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, makes him an invaluable asset to the UW-Oshkosh football program. His passion for the game, coupled with his dedication to education, sets a remarkable example for athletes and students alike. Under his guidance, the future of UW-Oshkosh football looks bright. Craig Stenbroten

Craig Stenbroten returns for his 19th season as a full-time member of the UW-Oshkosh coaching staff in 2026. Stenbroten, who served as a part-time assistant from 2006-07, begins his 11th season as the Titans’ defensive coordinator. Since becoming the Oshkosh defensive coordinator, Stenbroten has coached four Titans defensive players to seven total All-America honors, 10 players to 14 total All-Region accolades and 16 players to 20 total All-WIAC First Team laurels. Last season Stenbroten’s Titan defense surrendered 22.3 points and 366.6 yards per game while registering 15 turnovers and 13 sacks. In 2024, the Oshkosh defense yielded 26.1 points and 384.7 yards per contest. The Titans collected 12 turnovers and 19 sacks to rank second in the WIAC. In 2023, Stenbroten's defense allowed 27 points per game with 147.7 rushing yards and 218 passing yards per contest. The Titans recorded eight interceptions, 25 sacks and allowed just 14 passing touchdowns. In 2022, Stenbroten helped the Oshkosh defense lead the WIAC in 14.6 points allowed per game and 17 touchdowns, including only six through the air. The Titans also listed second with nine interceptions, 1,869 passing yards allowed and 186.9 passing yards per game. With a defensive red zone efficiency of 58.8 percent, Oshkosh led the league to rank 12th in NCAA Division III. During the 2021 campaign, the Oshkosh defense listed fourth in the WIAC by allowing 26.7 points and 377.8 yards per game, including just 216.6 through the air to rank second in the league. In 2019 Stenbroten’s defense ranked sixth in the NCAA Division III with 3.91 sacks per game as the Titans reached the national tournament for the fifth time in the past eight years. Oshkosh also led the conference in 2019 with 182.7 passing yards allowed per game. During 2018 season the Oshkosh defense finished second in the conference in points (14.0) and rushing yards (125.6) allowed per game while ranking 12th in the country with 19 interceptions and 16th nationally with a 95.81 defensive passing efficiency rating. In 2017 Stenbroten's defense recorded a pair of shutouts and helped the Titans reach the semifinal round of the NCAA Division III Championship. Oshkosh led the WIAC with 21 interceptions gained and tied for the league lead with 27 turnovers gained. During the 2016 campaign, Stenbroten helped Oshkosh reach the Division III championship game for the first time in program history. Stenbroten's defense recorded 43 turnovers and 23 sacks while ranking third in the country with 27 interceptions, and fifth with 16 fumble recoveries and 12.7 points allowed per game. Coaching the linebackers through the 2015 season, Stenbroten worked with a defensive unit that annually ranked among the finest in the WIAC. In 2015 the Titans ranked third in the country in red-zone efficiency defense (.538), fourth in points allowed per game (11.2), 11th in passing efficiency defense (93.97) and 15th in passing yards allowed per contest (159.1). Oshkosh allowed just six fourth-quarter points during the entire 13-game season and produced three shutouts during the same year for the first time since 1933. During the Titans’ WIAC championship and NCAA playoff season of 2012, Stenbroten helped Taylor Goodman become the program’s first NCAA Division III All-American at linebacker. Oshkosh’s defense recorded 31 takeaways and led the WIAC with a +17 turnover margin. During his time as a position coach, Stenbroten tutored six Oshkosh linebackers to All-WIAC first team awards. Goodman received the honor in 2011 and 2012 while James Taraboi gained mention in 2009, Beau Steffens in 2014, and Reese Dziedzic and Branden Lloyd in 2015. Eric Stenbroten, Craig’s brother, made the top squad in 2007. Stenbroten earned his bachelor’s degree from UW-Oshkosh in 2006. A three-time letterman at linebacker for the Titans from 2002-05, Stenbroten played in 34 career games and helped Oshkosh compile a 7-3 record in 2005. Stenbroten, a Monticello High School graduate, is married to Whitney (Tyriver), a former UW-Oshkosh basketball and softball player. (1/20/2026)

His remote role reflects his adaptability and his commitment to player acquisition and development.     •       Recruiting Analyst, Austin Peay State University (Tenn.) - Nov 2021 to Jan 2023: Robinson started his coaching career as a recruiting analyst at Austin Peay State University. His ability to identify and recruit top talent greatly contributed to the team's growth and success during his tenure.Professional Experience: Robinson's coaching journey is complemented by his professional experience as an intern at the sports consulting firm Sports & Fitness Industry Association.
