James Lewison

Assistant Coach

Lewison was named in September as the new head men's tennis coach at UW-Oshkosh. Lewison is a graduate of UW-Oshkosh, where he compiled a 54-35 singles record and a 31-30 doubles mark while playing tennis for the Titans from 2007-10. His singles ledger included a 27-20 record in the first flight of singles competition. Lewison was most recently an assistant tennis coach at South Milwaukee High School. He previously served as an assistant recreational supervisor and tennis coach for the South Milwaukee Recreation Department from 2007-10. "Even though I have limited coaching experience, I know what it's like competing at the Division III level and succeeding," Lewison says of his first head coaching position, "so I hope to pass that knowledge down to the student-athletes." Lewison, a South Milwaukee High School graduate, earned his bachelor's degree in English from UW-Oshkosh in 2010. "We are very pleased to announce the hiring of James as our new head men's tennis coach," said UW-Oshkosh Director of Athletics Darryl Sims. "As a former Titan, James has a great understanding of our program and what it takes to play at a successful Division III level." (9/28/2015)
