Mark Feinberg

Head Coach

Mark Feinberg begins his 22nd season as head coach of the Bears men's and women's swimming program. He is a full-time member of the athletic coaching staff. Feinberg has been coaching swimming for the past 41 years – 31 at the college level preceded by 10 with high school and club teams. Since taking over, the men and women have set all 38 team records, and the teams together now own five Centennial Conference records. In his time at Ursinus, Feinberg has a combined 256-164 record. Feinberg has been named Centennial Conference Coach of the Year a record nine times and the women have won six Centennial Conference Championships. He has coached 17 individual Academic All-Americans and 10 individual All-Americans.  Many of whom achieved that honor on multiple occasions. A native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania and a 1989 graduate of Shippensburg University, Feinberg came to Ursinus after spending 10 years as an assistant swimming coach at West Chester University, where he led the Golden Rams to multiple top-five finishes at the Division II championships during his tenure. After earning his master’s degree in sports management from West Chester in 1997, he served as an instructor in the department of kinesiology until 2004. At Shippensburg, Feinberg was a four-year swimmer and two-time All-American. After college, he went on to swim at the YMCA Masters, becoming a six-time national champion. Feinberg has also competed as a tri-athlete and completed his first Ironman in 2007. He currently resides in Collegeville with his wife and three children.

Jerilyn Kucharski

Assistant Coach

Kucharski enters her 12th season as an assistant coach of the men's and women's swimming program. A 2004 graduate of West Chester University, she was a four-year varsity letterwinner and four-time All-American on the swim team under current Ursinus head coach Mark Feinberg. Kucharski was also a three-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion in the 200 medley relay, 100 backstroke and 400 medley relay. Her senior year, she was named captain of a team that was ranked fourth in the nation. She received the WCU Outstanding Scholar-Athlete award for the 2003-04 season, while earning the PSAC Scholar-Athlete award from 2001-03. A native of Salisbury, Pennsylvania, Kucharski earned a bachelor of science in criminal justice from West Chester. She currently resides in Quakertown with her husband.

Sarah Kolosky

Assistant Coach

Kolosky is in her 3rd year as a member of the Ursinus College Men's and Women's Swimming coaching staff. Coming off of her brilliant career at Ursinus that saw her set team records, win conference titles and captain the 2012-13 women's team, she was the 2013 Olive Sargent Hamm Award winner and the Ursinus nominee for Centennial Conference Woman of the Year after holding a 3.5 GPA during her four years as an undergrad. Kolosky studied in Spain during the fall semester of her junior season and was the inspirational leader of the Bears' surprise run at the 2012-13 Centennial Conference crown, coming just 7 points shy in the meet's closest finish ever. Kolosky will spend most of the year serving the admissions office from her new home in southern California, but will join the team mid-season as the Bears travel to Ft. Lauderdale for their annual training trip.

Matt McGuriman

Assistant Coach

McGuriman enters his sixth season as Bears assistant coach, and is in his fourth year as Director of Aquatics. McGuriman grew up in Pennsylvania and started swimming for the Hatfield Sharks at age 11. He coached the Sharks until 2010. McGuirman was a four-year letter winner at Lansdale Catholic High School and was the team's captain his junior and senior years. He was a member of the 400 free relay team that still holds the school record. McGuriman received his degree in English from Cabrini College and swam for the Cavaliers. He was part of the first relay to qualify for the ECAC championships and swam the 50 free and 100 breast at the meet as well. He holds five school records, including both breaststroke events and three relays.
