U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Men's Track

Lawrence Jr. enters his fourth season at the helm of the mens and womens track & field and cross country programs at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. On top of leading the program as a whole, Lawrence Jr. will specifically work with athletes who compete in sprints, hurdles, and jumps. Prior to arriving at the Academy, Lawrence served six years as the Region 14 Coordinator for United States Track & Field (USATF). He was also a part of all meet management for the Junior Olympics Track & Field and Cross Country National Championships.  Lawrence Jr. served four years in the United States Army and reached the rank of Specialist.  He served in a Field Artillery Unit during Operation Just Cause in Panama. Lawrence Jr. is a 1995 graduate of Sacramento State and recently completed his master's degree in Sports Management from California University in Pennsylvania in 2016. He currently resides in Far Rockaway, N.Y.
