Ryan Terrill joined the VCU baseball coaching staff in January 2026 as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Terrill arrived at VCU after serving as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for two seasons at Georgia Gwinnett College. He oversaw the Grizzlies' powerhouse offense, helping lead the program to a 109-16 record with a pair of NAIA World Series semifinal appearances and two Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship titles in back-to-back years as the NAIA’s leading offense. In 2025, the Grizzlies reached a national No. 2 ranking, made a semifinal appearance in the NAIA World Series and led the nation in 11 offensive categories. The program saw five NAIA All-American selections for the second consecutive season, including four position players. Its three first-team selections were the most in a single season in program history. Terrill’s GGC offense set a pair of NAIA records in 2025 with 374 stolen bases and 451 walks and established a program-record .512 on-base percentage. In his first season with the Grizzlies in 2024, Terrill’s offense set 10 program records, while leading the nation in 11 statistical categories. GGC ranked No. 2 overall in the final national poll after finishing its season in the NAIA World Series semifinal round and capturing the CAC Championship title. Under Terrill’s leadership, outfielder Blaze O’Saben was named NAIA's 2024 Baseball Player of the Year and CAC Player of the Year. Prior to his stint with the Grizzlies, Terrill held the same position at George Mason in 2022-23. The Patriots had a record-setting 2023 season, reaching their first NCAA Regional championship game. George Mason won 36 games and secured the Atlantic 10 Conference title. The 36 wins were the program’s most victories since 2009. Terrill guided the program’s running game to 164 stolen bases to stand third best nationally. George Mason was also the toughest team in the Atlantic 10 to strike out in 2023. That season he helped the team advance to the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional, defeating Northeastern and Maryland en route to the Regional Final. In Terrill’s first season with the Patriots, they qualified for the A-10 Conference tournament for the first time since 2018, finishing the 2022 campaign with a 13-11 conference record. Terrill has also held multiple coaching positions at UMBC from 2019-21. He capped his stint as the Retrievers' hitting coach in 2021 where the offense ranked among the America East Conference’s best in several categories, including first in slugging percentage, on-base percentage and hit by pitches. The team stood second in the league in runs scored and home runs, along with a third-place finish in the conference in batting average, doubles, triples, RBI and walks. In 2020, the Retrievers ranked first in doubles, triples and hit by pitches, while ranking second in hits and third in RBI in the shortened season. In 2019, the Retrievers lead the league with 109 stolen bases, the second-most in school history. UMBC ranked second in the league in runs scored, home runs, doubles, RBI, slugging percentage and walks. Prior to collegiate coaching, Terrill served as the head coach at Riverdale Baptist High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland from 2015-18. He guided the Crusaders to three straight top-10 national rankings, culminating in a No. 1 placement by USA Today in 2018. Terrill finished his high school coaching career with a 125-12 record, and 10 of his former players signed professional contracts. In total, Terrill mentored 23 former players to play professional baseball. He was elevated to head coach of the Riverdale Baptist program in 2015, taking over for his father and long-time head coach Terry Terrill, for whom Ryan was an assistant in 2006-14. Terrill played collegiate baseball at Northwest Shoals Community College where he ranks third all-time in single-season batting average. He went on to play Division I at Liberty and a was a member of the 2003 team that advanced to the Big South Conference Championship final. A native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Terrill resides in Richmond with his wife, Coby, and two daughters, Sawyer and Rimini.

Andrew Llewellyn enters his sixth year as a member of the VCU Baseball staff. In the summer of 2024, Llewellyn was promoted to Assistant Coach and Assistant Recruiting Coordinator for the Rams under new Head Coach Sean Thompson. "Lew" served four seasons as a Volunteer Assistant prior to being elevated to Assistant Coach in 2023. In addition to his role in VCU's recruiting efforts, Llewellyn is in charge of all Rams Baseball Camps, both youth and prospect, and coordinates catcher development, in-game defensive positioning, and assists with hitters. During his first season as a full-time assistant, Llewellyn helped the Rams to an Atlantic 10 Conference Championship, as well as an NCAA berth in 2023. That VCU squad later saw three players selected in the 2023 MLB Draft. In his time as the Volunteer Assistant, starting in 2021, VCU won back-to-back Atlantic 10 Championships and won games in both the 2021 Starkville Regional and the 2022 Chapel Hill Regional. The Rams compiled a record of 80-36 in those two seasons, and went on win streaks of at least 17 games in both campaigns. Prior to serving as the Volunteer Assistant, Llewellyn was the Director of Baseball Operations for the fall of 2020, where he coordinated team travel and meals. Llewellyn was also a Graduate Assistant during the 2019-20 season, assisting with the day-to-day operations of the program. Llewellyn was a four-year starting catcher at Wingate University where he led his team to an NCAA Division II Regional in 2018 and was named Honorable Mention All-South Atlantic Conference as a senior in 2019. He graduated from Wingate with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management.
